Day heads take the day plan's layout: the number on a raised tile with the date
under it, the name beside it and its facts as pills that never wrap but give way
in steps. Rides, terminals and hire desks are cards in their type's colour with
their icon on the line and their times in the arrival column; a stop's bookings
sit on its own badge row. Every badge on the rail is one pill shape, the drive
bands are round, and the stay, stop and driving settings dialogs use the shared
dialog frame.
DAY-SVC-048 and DAY-DEL-011 pinned the old reorder, which handed a day
without a date the first slot's date; they now expect it to keep none and
the day it passes to keep its own. OIDC-SSRF-003 reads oidc.service.ts as
text and missed the token call once Prettier put a trailing comma after its
hop budget of 0; the pattern takes the comma.
The day badge fix grew DayPlanSidebar.tsx and its test past their size
baselines. The check-out, through, check-in order of the header's stays is
now dayHeadStays() with a test of its own, and the day header tests sit in
DayPlanSidebar.dayHead.test.tsx; both files drop below their old entries.
knip found them once the server lanes and the client ratchets met: re-exports
and helpers that moved into place-import, nest-rpc and auth-core but kept an
export nothing reads, the demo-denied helper the central MCP gate replaced,
and two settings keys only the selector uses. @OptionalAuth stays exported
as the documented opt-out and is marked @public. The baselines for knip and
the unused en keys drop to the merged tree.
Reordering handed out the dates by position, so moving a day added without a
date to the front gave it the first date and took the date of the last dated
day. The undated row stayed at the end and the move looked like it did
nothing, by drag and by the arrows alike. The dates now go to the dated days
only, in their new order; the rule lives in shared so the server, the
planner's optimistic list and the MCP tool apply the same one.
lint:i18n-keys only listed unused en keys as information, and it looked for
references in client/src alone, so every key the server sends (system notice
and notification channel keys in its registries) read as dead. The reference
search now also reads server/src and plugin-sdk/src; those references only
mark keys as reached and are not held to the client's key rules. The unused
keys per en domain file are counted against scripts/i18n-unused-baseline.json,
which only shrinks and fails on an entry above its count until --update
lowers it. Today's 841 unused keys in 44 files are frozen, none deleted.
Nothing looked for dead code: no knip, depcheck or ts-prune, noUnusedLocals
off. knip.jsonc configures knip over the client, server and shared workspaces
with their real entry points (main.tsx, index.ts and bootstrap, the MikroORM
config, the forked plugin host and its SDK surface, migrations and seeders
found by glob, the shared build entries with one per locale, the scripts,
the tests and the Playwright launcher). lint:knip (scripts/ci/knip-ratchet.mjs)
counts its findings per category and file against scripts/ci/knip-baseline.json,
which only shrinks and is built on the client's ratchet helpers. Today's 427
findings are frozen, among them unused server dependencies (nodemon,
@types/uuid, eslint-plugin-prettier, @mikro-orm/cli), the unused root unrun,
and imports of packages no package.json lists (leaflet.markercluster, geojson).
False positives are fixed in knip.jsonc with the reason. knip is a root
devDependency; the check runs in server-quality, the job that installs every
workspace, and knip.jsonc joins the code area of the change classifier.
The client compiles with strict: false, so nullable contract fields arrive as
if always present and implicit anys stay invisible. tsconfig.strict.json is the
same program with strictNullChecks and noImplicitAny, and lint:strict
(scripts/strict-lint.mjs) counts its errors per file against
scripts/strict-baseline.json: a file may not gain one, a new file has to be
clean, and an entry above its count fails until --update lowers it. Nothing is
converted here; today's 534 errors in 165 files are frozen. allowJs stays: the
tests import the .mjs scripts and read their JSDoc types through it.
The todo MSW handler maps a cleared priority to its default so the test
helper written in this branch starts at zero. The check runs after the
typecheck in client-quality.
The client lint ran untyped with two react-hooks rules, so nothing saw a
floating promise, an async handler where a void one is expected, a whole-store
Zustand subscription or a window event bus, all of which client/CLAUDE.md
forbids. eslint.config.mjs now lints with the project service and adds, as
warnings: no-floating-promises, no-misused-promises (void returns in JSX
attributes included), the rest of react-hooks v7's recommended set,
complexity 20, max-depth 4, max-params 5 and max-lines-per-function (120 in a
.ts function, 300 in a .tsx one, whose body also holds its markup),
no-console and no-non-null-assertion. Three local rules in
scripts/lib/eslint-rules.mjs cover what no stock rule sees: an empty
.catch() callback, use*Store() without a selector (the message points to
useShallow, since an object selector without it loops on Zustand 5), and
window.__* globals and window.dispatchEvent with an event of our own.
scripts/eslint-baseline.json takes today's count of each new rule, so the
existing code is frozen, not changed, and each new instance fails
lint:warnings. The CI step gets the 8 GB heap typed linting needs.
theme:lint only reported a total and exited 0, skipped whole files by name and
never ran in CI. It now counts per file under src/ against
scripts/theme-baseline.json, which only shrinks, like lint:rtl: the colour
literals, arbitrary colour classes and numeric font sizes it already saw, plus
palette classes (bg-gray-100, text-indigo-600, bg-white), raw text sizes
(text-sm, text-[13px]) instead of the type tiers, z-index literals above z-50
instead of a step of the layering scale, and reads of the dark_mode setting.
The file exemptions are gone; the map, PDF and brand files carry their count in
the baseline instead. theme-lint-disable markers stay valid in a comment and
are counted against scripts/theme-disable-baseline.json, like rtl-lint-disable
in lint:rtl; a new one raises its file's entry by hand, where review sees it.
The comment handling lint:rtl already had moves into scripts/lib/source.mjs so
both read source the same way.
The check runs in the client-quality job.
MapViewAuto took props: any and the Leaflet MapView destructured any, so a prop
one renderer learned and the other never heard of went unnoticed.
components/Map/mapViewContract.ts holds MapViewProps, derived from the GL
renderer's props and what the callers pass; MapView and the GL bindings in
glLazy declare satisfies ComponentType against it, and the GL renderer extends
it with its engine. The file imports types only, so check:gl-split is not
affected. Types only, no runtime change.
The types show two known gaps, recorded in the contract rather than papered
over: onMapReady is called by the GL renderer only, and callers pass pins
without trip_id (assignment and collection places) while both renderers type
their pins as Place; MapViewAuto bridges the latter with one commented cast.
contractHandler() parses the request body against the shared request schema,
answering 400 like the server's Zod pipe on a body it would refuse, and the
mock's answer against the response schema, failing on a factory that drifted.
The trips, budget, places, todo, tags and categories, day notes, packing,
reservations and assignments handlers and the vacay plan and colour updates use
it wherever shared has a schema; the offline bundle and the other vacay routes
have none yet and stay plain.
The typed bodies showed where the old handlers echoed request shapes back as
stored rows: payers and members are no longer echoed into a budget item, and
checked and is_private come back as 0/1 the way the server stores them.
resetAllStores read a hand list of seven stores, and a new store simply never
joined it. tests/helpers/storeRegistry.ts now names every Zustand store in
src/ as either reset or left alone with the reason, and a test fails on a
store that is in neither list or on an entry whose store is gone. The set of
stores that are reset is unchanged.
BudgetPanel, its summary, category table, inline edit cell, add row, per person
line, pie chart, ring avatar and the useBudgetPanel hook were replaced by the
costs panel and nothing outside their own tests imports them any more.
BudgetPanel.constants, BudgetPanel.helpers and BudgetPanelMemberChips stay in
use. The rtl, format, offline and eslint baselines drop the deleted files.
.git-blame-ignore-revs lists the formatting commit, so GitHub's blame view
and a local git blame with blame.ignoreRevsFile set attribute each line to
the change that last meant something.
A mechanical prettier --write over server/src, server/tests, server/scripts
and shared/src with the workspaces' .prettierrc; nothing but layout and
import order changes, and every file keeps the same set of imports. shared
is formatted throughout and its format baseline is empty. The server
baseline keeps the 35 files that Prettier would grow past their lint:size
limit (they need a split first, which is not a formatting change), and the
generated entity files stay as their generator writes them.
src/db/entities/ is written by scripts/generate-entities.ts, and
check:entities holds every file byte for byte to its output, which puts the
MikroORM import first where Prettier's import sorting puts it last.
Formatting them would fail that gate, and npm run format would do it on any
run. lint:format no longer scans the directory (its 133 entries leave the
format baseline) and a .prettierignore keeps the format script off it.
Following the method chain was not enough: Prettier also wraps a cast read
in parentheses (const n = ( above db.prepare(), puts a for head above its
body and nests the call in an argument list, each leaving it more than one
line below its marker. When the line under a marker holds no call, the
marker now excuses the first call further down in that statement, up to
the line ending it with a semicolon, never past a blank line and at most
eight lines down. Every file counts the same as before on today's tree and
on the formatted one.
Prettier wraps the emoji regex onto the line after its declaration and
spreads two any-cast lines in the plugin tests over several lines, which
would leave the casts outside the eslint-disable-next-line above them. The
regex directive now sits on the line right before the literal, the dev-link
controller takes never instead of any for the collaborators it ignores, and
the supervisor test reaches the private kill/onExit through one cast.
Prettier breaks a long schema into z on one line and .object( on the next,
which the count read as nothing: formatting the tool files would have taken
134 hand-written fields out of the tally. Whitespace before the dot counts
now. Four files already held such a split call, so their entries rise to
what they really hold (atlas 23, doc-sync 1, help 4, transit 16).
Prettier splits a long db.prepare('...').all() into db on one line and
.prepare( on the next, which put the call two lines below its marker and
made every parity oracle in the repository tests count as a raw statement.
The marker now also covers the method-chain lines that continue the
statement right below it, up to the first line that does not start with a
dot.
The sort-imports plugin moved bare imports along with the rest, which on
src/index.ts would have put reflect-metadata after the modules that need it
and the env validation ahead of dotenv. With importOrderSideEffects off, a
side-effect import stays in place and the imports between two of them are
sorted on their own. The three test files that were already formatted gain
the blank line the new grouping writes after reflect-metadata.
bootTestApp replaced JourneyPhotoCaptureService with a factory calling its constructor positionally, only to hand it an offline geocoder, so a dependency the service gained broke the boot of every MCP suite. The container now builds the service itself and the OsmClient's reverse lookup answers that nothing is known, which also keeps every other reverse lookup a booted suite reaches inside the process.
lint:test-mocks missed vi.mock(import('../src/config'), ...), the typed form Vitest takes, and counted mocks quoted in doc comments, which left slack a real mock could take. lint:test-new-service missed a service built under an import alias or as new (Name)(...). Both now strip comments first and recognise those forms; the baselines lose the entries that were only comments.
A response-contract-exempt comment counted any handler as covered, whatever it returned, so one comment line let a JSON handler past the ratchet. The marker now counts only on a handler taking @Res() or @Next(). The five vacay holiday proxies return the provider's JSON, so they lose their markers and are counted again until they declare a schema.
createInvite returned { error: 'Trip not found', status: 404 } and the admin controller never looked at it: POST /api/admin/invites with an unknown trip_id answered 201 with an empty body and wrote an admin.invite_create audit row for resource 'undefined'. The service throws the DomainError now, so the route answers 404 { error: 'Trip not found' } and writes neither the invite nor the audit row.
The ratchet only read *.service.ts for status literals and one branch shape in controllers and tools, so an envelope in a helper, impl or provider file, a branch written as result.error === 'not_found', and RPC handlers all went uncounted. It now counts the literals in every file under src/nest outside the HTTP layer, and comparisons, negations, optional chains and ternaries on a returned error in controllers, tools and RPC handlers. The baseline takes what the wider count finds.
src/nest-rpc, src/nest-mcp and src/mcp import domains and are imported by them, but the domain map only knew src/nest, so their edges dropped out of domainCycles and their repository injections out of foreignRepositories. Each layer now counts as one domain. The repository rule reads the syntax tree for @InjectRepository(X) and for getRepository(X) on an EntityManager, so a comment no longer counts and a foreign read through the EntityManager no longer passes. The baseline takes the cycles and the repository reaches the wider view finds; settings -> Users goes, it was a comment.
VacayMcp read the caller's username and email straight from UsersRepository, a table the auth domain owns. UserLookupService in auth-core answers exactly that, so vacay neither imports AuthModule nor injects a foreign repository, and its foreignRepositories entry goes.
sync_trip_documents and the five manual school-holiday tools carried no demo check of their own before the gate moved into the registry, so a demo account could call them. The gate now lets exactly those through, and a test pins the list. upload_trip_file keeps the gate's order: a demo account is refused before its trip access is checked, where the tool used to answer a trip it cannot see with the no-access result first.
lint:test-mocks counts vi.mock/vi.doMock of src/config, src/nest/realtime and src/db per file under tests/, lint:test-new-service counts new XService(/new XRepository( there with every class whose constructor takes nothing allowed (derived from src/ and tests/helpers/), and lint:size holds files under tests/ to 2000 lines against their own baseline. Both counters share scripts/lib/count-ratchet.mjs, which gains a prepare hook for a check that reads the tree first. The three run as steps of the existing server lint job; the CLAUDE.md files and the module guide describe the test helpers they point to.
src/services is gone, so the folder named a layer that no longer exists. The airtrail suites go to tests/unit/nest/integrations, the crypto, cookie, avatar, password policy, timezone and conflict helpers to tests/unit/nest/common, the kitinerary mapper to booking-import, the photo media suite to photos, the atlas bundle guard to tests/unit/nest and the two migration suites to tests/unit/db. Only the relative import paths change, and the format baseline follows the new paths.
createTestModule (tests/helpers/test-module.ts) builds a Nest testing module of the domain modules under test over the suite's test db, with a FakeRealtimeService and provider overrides for the collaborators a suite controls. bootTestApp (tests/helpers/test-app.ts) boots AppModule once per file, with recording realtime, fixture storage and an offline geocoder, and the MCP harness takes McpRegistryService from it inside a request context instead of hand-wiring roughly eighty services. The days, day removal and day notes service suites take their subjects from DaysModule and DayNotesModule.
A hand-built service gets a FakeRealtimeService where it took a RealtimeService, a Nest testing module overrides the provider, and a suite over buildApp() spies on the container's instance (spyOnRealtime). The 167 vi.mock factories on src/websocket are gone, RealtimeService reads the socket registry in ws-state.ts directly, and the re-export stub src/websocket.ts is deleted. The facade's own suite now checks what reaches a socket instead of which module function it called.
tests/setup.ts mocks src/config once with tests/helpers/test-config.ts. A suite that needs other values calls overrideTestConfig(), and the setup file restores the defaults after every case. The 191 per-file factories are gone; config.test.ts takes the real module through vi.unmock, and the few suites that signed tokens with their own literal secret read it from TEST_CONFIG.
Tightens the two comments the rawBodyBase64 field and the type parity note
added to runtime/plugin-sdk.ts, lowers its lint:size entry, and points the
shared guide at the client files it names by their full path.
The vacay plan, calendars, years, entries, stats and shares, and the
journey list, create, tracks, stats, share link and every success answer
get response schemas in shared and a @ResponseContract on their handler.
The holiday proxies pass the provider's answer through and are marked
exempt. The journey e2e stubs return whole rows, as the service does.
shared gains the response schemas these routes answer with (rows in their
storage spelling, as the routes have always sent them) plus the common
success and empty answers, all exported for the client to type its calls
with. Every JSON handler in the four controllers carries its
@ResponseContract; the file download, which streams, is marked exempt. The
files e2e fixture table gains the note_id column the real one has.
The decorator records the @trek/shared response schema a route answers
with. Under NODE_ENV=test it adds an interceptor that parses every response
and fails the request with a logged 500 naming the handler and the issues,
so the e2e and integration suites catch a response that drifted from its
contract; in production nothing is added to the request path and the body
is never rewritten. lint:response-contracts holds the handlers still without
one to a per-file baseline that only shrinks, and runs in server-quality.
