- **From a day:** choose **Add accommodation** in a day's **+** menu, or click **Add accommodation** in the [day details panel](#in-the-day-detail-panel). Both open the stay editor, described below.
- **From the Bookings tab:** click **Manual Booking** and pick **Accommodation** in the type pill of the dialog's head band. The date and time fields make way for the stay's own fields, see [Accommodation fields in the booking editor](#accommodation-fields-in-the-booking-editor). Saving creates the booking and the stay at the same time.
- **From the AI assistant:** the in-app assistant proposes a stay as a stay card in the chat. Nothing is saved until you confirm it, and the stay then appears in the day plan like any other.
- **From the road trip search:** **Add as an overnight stay** books the night and adds the stop in one go. See [Road-Trip](Road-Trip#booked-nights-on-the-drive).

- For members who can edit days: the pencil (**Edit accommodation**) opens the stay editor, and the **X** (**Remove**) deletes the stay straight away, together with its booking and the expenses linked to that booking.
A stay booked in another place (the booking form, the assistant or the road trip search) shows up in the day plan and the day details at once, without a reload.
**Add accommodation** at the foot of the section adds another stay, for example a second hotel on a transfer day.

**Export as spreadsheet (CSV)**, the spreadsheet icon after **View options**, downloads the bookings as a CSV file. It holds exactly what the tab shows: the search and the filters apply, and the rows follow **Sort by** from the view options (the grouping is left out, one row per booking). The columns are **Type**, **Title**, **Status**, **Start**, **End**, **From**, **To**, **Location**, **Confirmation** and **Notes**; **From** and **To** are filled for bookings with a route. The file is semicolon-separated with a UTF-8 byte-order mark, so Excel opens it cleanly, and is named after the trip and the tab, such as `berlin-2026-bookings.csv`. A cell that would start with `=`, `+`, `-` or `@` gets a leading apostrophe, so a spreadsheet never runs it as a formula.
The button is there for every member who can see the tab, as soon as it has at least one booking. The Transports tab exports its own list the same way.

Some entry points in the day plan follow the plan's own right, `day_edit`: **Add booking** on a stop, the transport editor opened from the plan, and **Change route** on a public transit journey. See [Admin-Permissions](Admin-Permissions).
## Offline
Bookings, transports and stays you save while you are offline wait in a queue and are sent when TREK is back online. Files are the exception: they need a connection to upload. If you try to save a booking with new files while offline, the editor says *Files need a connection to upload. Remove the new ones to save the booking offline, or save once you are back online.* See [Offline-Mode-and-PWA](Offline-Mode-and-PWA).
## Real-time sync
Every change to a booking reaches all trip members who have the trip open, without a reload.
## AI assistant
The in-app AI assistant can create bookings and stays from the chat. It shows them as booking and stay cards that you confirm before anything is saved. Attach a confirmation to the chat and the assistant proposes **Add booking from file**; the file can be kept in the trip's Files together with the booking. The assistant is an addon, see [Addons-Overview](Addons-Overview).
