A dateless trip made by a tool silently got seven days, and reminder_days was stuck on the default of three with no way to turn it off. Cover images had no search at all. add_trip_member and remove_trip_member hardcoded an owner check while REST consults the configurable permission matrix and the plugin RPC does too: three surfaces, two behaviours. They now use the same permission call update_trip already made, so an instance that lowered member_manage behaves consistently. The guest tools stay owner-only, because their REST routes are owner-only by design and document it.
