Ida Rogalska 15c8675959 client: omit default outgoing direction from assignment transport payload ...

The per-segment transport request now carries a direction, but the server
schema defaults it to 'outgoing'. Only send direction for the incoming
boundary-leg case so the outgoing payload stays identical to the pre-#1281
shape and existing callers keep the same wire format.
