Journey Settings get "Prepare recorded days automatically" under GPX Tracks,
off by default and set by the owner. With it on, the Dawarich background
check also reads the linked trips of the journey for the owner and every
editor with a connection of their own, within the same 400 day reach and
windows as the trip sync, and only for new and changed stays: a trip the
person travels on is not asked twice, and the stays of a trip they are not
on are filed under no trip. Nothing is written into the journey; the stays
wait at their day, and a stay taken over or left out is never offered again.
Under the switch the caller sees when their stays were last fetched, or why
not (no connection, no dated trip, background check off, the reason of the
last failure beside the state still shown), with a "Fetch now" that the
switch also runs when it is turned on. A day of the trips that is not final
yet carries a dot on its take-over button, on the phone in the stay sheet,
and the tooltip says whether it is still running, was fetched before it
ended, was not fetched yet or shows an older state after a failed refresh.
The day review says so for today too.
Server: migration 046180 adds journeys.auto_prepare_recordings and
journey_recording_prep (the last attempt, last success and last error per
journey and person). JourneyRecordingPrepService in the journey domain lists
the prepared trips and keeps the status; DawarichSyncService walks those
trips in the same loop as the person's own and records each journey's
outcome. GET /api/journeys/:id/recordings/prep answers the caller's status
under a @trek/shared contract, the MCP tool get_journey_recording_prep reads
the same, and update_journey takes auto_prepare_recordings like the PUT
contract. The column stays out of the plugin output. All 27 locales carry
the strings; the Journey, Dawarich and MCP tool wiki pages describe it.
A multi-day tour in the planner's list of the trip's tours now unfolds into
its stages (MDT-02), so the stages can be seen together and fitted into the
trip without leaving the one route they are cut from.
- The fold beside a multi-day tour lists its stages in route order, each
from stop to stop with its distance, climb, descent and moving time, read
off the saved tour the way the planner reads them, and below them what the
whole tour adds up to. A value no stage tells is left out, a total some
stages do not tell is marked as at least that much and says for how many,
and a stage whose route is not planned yet says so.
- Each stage has its own day: a pill opens the trip's days, moves the stage
to another one or takes it off again. A stage without a day shows a dashed
"No day" pill. A day holds a tour, or one of its stages, once, and a stage
is on one day at most; the plan's own offline path writes it.
- A stage opens in the planner: the tour opens as any tour does and the
stage is shown once its points are in.
- The day plan names the stage a day holds with its own figures, and the
day's route runs to that stage's start and on from its end; the trip map
draws that stretch only. The tour list still counts a tour once, however
many days hold it or its stages.
- A saved change that takes a stage away (its stage end gone, the tour a day
tour again, back to the recorded track) takes it off its day in the same
write and tells every client; the planner says so before the save.
- REST and the assign_place_to_day tool take the stage by the key of the
stop it starts at, with the same checks; list_tours names the stops
between the stages and the stage each day holds.
A day assignment remembers its stage by that key (migration 046010); every
assignment made before holds the whole tour, as it did.
Journeys from the transit search are routing, not bookings, and a day of them
pushed the real bookings out of the six slots. Booked trains and buses keep
their own types and stay. The MCP tool reads the same feed.
The TREK Places service takes an optional lang now and puts localities into
it, and names its OpenStreetMap layer rows in it with the settlement they are
in. TREK never sent one, so a Japan trip in an English UI kept reading
"福岡市博多区" and the layer rows had no place at all, only the local name.
Search, autocomplete, nearby and the details of an index place now ask in the
reader's language (TREK codes through toApiLang, anything that is no language
tag left off). A layer row with a locality reads "Sumida, Japan" like an index
row, the country named from its coordinate; without one it keeps the local
name as before. The offline area download stays without a language. REST and
MCP share the service methods, so both get it.

A guest's payer rows and recorded payments hung on the users row by ON DELETE
CASCADE, so deleting the guest wiped money that had really moved: expenses
they paid were left without a payer, settled payments reopened, and a custom
or receipt split lost the guest's share so the balances no longer summed to
zero.
Deleting a guest who paid for an expense or is part of a recorded payment is
now refused with a 409 (REST and the delete_trip_guest MCP tool, same text),
and the share dialog says to change the payer or delete the payment first.
Otherwise the guest's share is handed on: an equal split re-splits as before,
a custom amount goes to the others by largest remainder in the currency's
smallest step (members without an amount get one, so the expense stays a
custom split), and a receipt drops the guest from its lines and is split
again like the cost editor does. A legacy paid_by_user_id is cleared as on
account deletion. Account deletion goes through the same re-split. The
confirmation text in all languages and the wiki say what really happens.

The ledger nets every currency in hundredths, and the settlement handed those
hundredths out as they were. For a currency shown without decimals the panels
then rounded each balance and flow on its own: 10,000 KRW three ways read
+6,667 / -3,333 / -3,333, two flows of 3,333 sat under "You're owed 6,667",
and Settle booked 3,333.34 won.
The balances, flows and final budget lines are now allocated by largest
remainder in whole steps of the display currency (whole won or yen, unchanged
for two and three decimal ones), so the shown set adds up to zero and the flow
amount Settle sends is the whole amount on the row. The ledger, stored rows
and manual settlements are untouched. REST and the MCP settlement summary
share the same method.
Refs #2604
Removing someone from a trip leaves their payer and split rows on the
expenses they were part of. Every save ran the ids the form sends back
through the roster filter, so an unchanged save dropped them, total_price
shrank to what the rest had paid and a custom split stopped adding up.
Ids already on the expense now stay allowed, as payer or as member, and
can still be taken off it on purpose. A new expense and an id that never
was on the expense are filtered as before (#1952). The paid ticks of the
split carry over a form save instead of being reset. REST, the plugin RPC
and the MCP split checks all read the same allowed set from the service.
Refs #2604
The create and update answers, the reservation:updated broadcast and the MCP
reservation tools all hand back the single booking read, and that read never
loaded reservation_day_positions. The day list puts a booking moved on a day by
that slot before its time, and the client replaces the booking with the answer,
so a booking moved on a day jumped back to its time after every edit until the
next reload. The read now attaches day_positions in the shape the trip list
already sends.
Refs #2631
Marking a region wrote its country with source 'manual', the same as ticking
the country off by hand, and removing the last region then took the country
away whatever its origin, Dawarich confirmations included. A country that
only comes in through a region is now stored as 'region', marking it visited
afterwards turns it into the user's own mark, and the cascade in unmarkRegion
only runs for a country without such a mark. Readers still see 'manual' for
those rows, so the country detail, the MCP resource and the plugin RPC answer
as before. Rows written before this change stay 'manual' and keep their
country.
REST, MCP and plugin RPC share the service. The atlas popup on desktop and
phone now asks the server whether the country is still marked before it
drops it from the map instead of guessing.
Refs #2597
Moving a saved place to another list takes it out of the source list, but
updatePlace only asked for edit rights there, so an editor could empty a
shared list they may not delete from. The source now takes owner or admin,
like a delete, and the target still takes edit rights. REST and the
update_collection_place tool share the service path. The Move to list
action on desktop and phone follows the delete permission.
A mechanical prettier --write over server/src, server/tests, server/scripts
and shared/src with the workspaces' .prettierrc; nothing but layout and
import order changes, and every file keeps the same set of imports. shared
is formatted throughout and its format baseline is empty. The server
baseline keeps the 35 files that Prettier would grow past their lint:size
limit (they need a split first, which is not a formatting change), and the
generated entity files stay as their generator writes them.
sync_trip_documents and the five manual school-holiday tools carried no demo check of their own before the gate moved into the registry, so a demo account could call them. The gate now lets exactly those through, and a test pins the list. upload_trip_file keeps the gate's order: a demo account is refused before its trip access is checked, where the tool used to answer a trip it cannot see with the no-access result first.
createTestModule (tests/helpers/test-module.ts) builds a Nest testing module of the domain modules under test over the suite's test db, with a FakeRealtimeService and provider overrides for the collaborators a suite controls. bootTestApp (tests/helpers/test-app.ts) boots AppModule once per file, with recording realtime, fixture storage and an offline geocoder, and the MCP harness takes McpRegistryService from it inside a request context instead of hand-wiring roughly eighty services. The days, day removal and day notes service suites take their subjects from DaysModule and DayNotesModule.
A hand-built service gets a FakeRealtimeService where it took a RealtimeService, a Nest testing module overrides the provider, and a suite over buildApp() spies on the container's instance (spyOnRealtime). The 167 vi.mock factories on src/websocket are gone, RealtimeService reads the socket registry in ws-state.ts directly, and the re-export stub src/websocket.ts is deleted. The facade's own suite now checks what reaches a socket instead of which module function it called.
tests/setup.ts mocks src/config once with tests/helpers/test-config.ts. A suite that needs other values calls overrideTestConfig(), and the setup file restores the defaults after every case. The 191 per-file factories are gone; config.test.ts takes the real module through vi.unmock, and the few suites that signed tokens with their own literal secret read it from TEST_CONFIG.
Non-null assertions become explicit guards, the two demo-gate loops collect
their answers with Promise.all, and the MapsService imports the maps tests no
longer use are gone. The src counts the refactors lowered are taken off the
warnings baseline.
Every write tool used to open with its own demo check, 196 copies across 30
tool files, most of them injecting AuthService for nothing else. The
registry now takes a toolGate (built from the container) that runs before
each registered tool handler, and TREK's gate refuses a demo account on
every tool not annotated read-only with the same canned result. The
per-tool checks, the AuthService injections, AuthService.isDemoUser and the
AuthModule imports that only fed them are gone; ESLint refuses a demo check
in a tool file, and a registry-wide test calls every write tool as the
demo account.
Only their own tests imported them. The MCP knobs are parsed in
app-config/parsers.ts, which tests them directly, and toCamelCase was never
wired into a plugin RPC handler.
The specs written alongside the session, transaction and lifecycle work
still seeded and read with raw statements. They go through the ORM
factories now; the few that test SQL below the ORM carry a test-sql-allow
reason. The raw SQL baseline holds 177 statements in 6 files.
These specs left the raw SQL baseline but still emptied tables with
`db.exec('DELETE FROM ...')` and aged a Dawarich connection with a raw
UPDATE, which the ratchet cannot see because it only counts `.prepare(`.
They now go through deleteRows and updateRows like the rest of the file.
packing_item_recipients and packing_bag_members have no entity; both
cascade from their item and bag, so the packing spec relies on that with
foreign keys on in the snapshot database.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the demo repository spec,
the transports MCP spec and the immich integration suite to the ORM
factories and readers.
Where a case compared a narrow SELECT with toEqual, it now picks the same
columns off the row the reader returns, so the comparison stays exact
rather than loosening to a partial match. The immich album link cases seed
their photos through addTripPhoto and addAlbumLink, which register the
provider asset the same way the raw INSERT OR IGNORE did.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the files MCP spec and the
roadtrip e2e to the ORM factories and readers.
The files spec seeds its trip files through makeTripFile and its links
through linkFile, keeping the helper's explicit-null handling for size and
type. The roadtrip e2e keeps its pinned trip, day and place ids, which its
routes address directly, now written through insertRow and insertRows.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the collections MCP spec
and the in-app notification preference spec to the ORM factories and
readers. The collection, member and saved place helpers and the boolean
notification helper keep their signatures and simply resolve to the new
row's id, so each case reads as it did; the four copies of the boolean
notification INSERT collapse into one helper over makeNotification.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the plugin discovery spec,
the permissions service spec, the feeds and invite MCP spec and the day
accommodations repository spec to the ORM factories and readers.
The permission cache cases still write their override rows past
savePermissions, now through setAppSetting, so the stale-cache behaviour
they pin is unchanged. The day accommodations spec keeps the legacy
statements it holds the repository to behind allow markers.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the collections e2e, the
storage registry service spec, the transit MCP spec, the MCP token
repository spec and the immich memories integration suite to the ORM
factories and readers.
The collections e2e drops the raw canAccessTrip on its database mock, which
nothing reads any more. Reads that used to join trip_photos to trek_photos
in SQL resolve the photo row through the readers instead, and the orphan
trip photo of IMMICH-057 is still written with foreign keys switched off,
now through the ORM on the same connection.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the plugin settings
isolation spec, the tags MCP spec, the place ratings and days repository
specs and the receipt scan e2e to the ORM factories and readers.
The receipt scan e2e writes the AI parsing addon config as the object the
entity's JSON column maps, not as a pre-serialised string, and seeds its
users and trips through makeUser and makeTrip with the ids its session
cookie is signed for. The days spec keeps the SELECT * row it compares the
ORM's rows with key for key, and its legacy statements, behind allow
markers; the place ratings spec backdates updated_at with dbNow instead of
datetime('now').
Converts the raw prepare() writes and reads in the websocket connection
suite, the web push and instance API key services, the days MCP spec and
the packing visibility and place details cache repository specs to the ORM
factories and readers.
The websocket suite reads the app's own ORM; the password version bump that
was a single relative UPDATE now reads the user and writes the next
version. The packing visibility parity keeps the legacy fragment it is
checked against behind an allow marker.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the share and place shadow
e2e suites, the google quota, travel stats and MCP guard services, the
memories MCP spec, the admin seeder spec and the assignment participants
repository spec to the ORM factories and readers.
The place shadow e2e moves from hand-rolled tables to the migrated snapshot
with its users pinned to the ids their session cookies are signed for. The
share e2e drops the raw canAccessTrip it still put on the database mock:
nothing has read it since trip access moved onto the repositories. The
quota spec computes yesterday and the retention window in UTC, the same
calendar day SQLite's date('now') gives. The participants oracle keeps its
raw statement behind an allow marker.
Converts the raw prepare() fixtures and reads in the next set of specs to
the ORM factories and readers: the password reset, webauthn, dawarich,
budget, to-do and vacay repository specs, the journey, settings, addons and
share MCP specs, the plugin POI and operator egress specs, the feeds,
storage stats and query helper services, and the packing, collections,
day reorder, leg mode, upload context and trip access integration suites.
The notifications and google quota e2e suites now seed their users through
makeUser with pinned ids, and the notifications suite moves from hand-rolled
tables to the migrated snapshot. Legacy statements that serve as a parity
oracle and the raw rows the primary-relation spike holds toObject() against
stay raw, each with an allow marker naming why.
Converts the raw prepare() reads and writes in the share, airtrail, files,
todo, dev-link, vacay, tours, bucket list, unit-of-work and plugin guard
specs to the ORM factories and readers, so they go through the entities the
app uses instead of hand-written SQLite.
The vacay e2e moves from hand-rolled tables to the migrated snapshot, with
its user pinned to the id its session cookie is signed for. Statements that
are raw by nature keep the allow marker with the reason: the legacy oracle
of the bucket list parity spec, the PRAGMA probe of the trek_photos
migration, the unmapped probe table of the route import rollback, the
behind-the-ORM reads of the entity insert probes, and seedUser, which also
serves the hand-rolled users table of createTempDb. Comments that quoted a
prepare() call are reworded so the ratchet no longer counts them.
The collab and budget e2e suites, the MCP integration suite, the budget
MCP tools and the OAuth token repository suite seed and read through the
ORM factories. The collab e2e suite moves off its hand-rolled CREATE
TABLE set onto the migrated snapshot, the way the factories guide asks of
a suite that converts: an entity reads and writes every mapped column,
which a trimmed table does not have. Its users are seeded with the ids
the session cookies are signed for.
The recursive chain statement in the token suite stays raw, marked as the
legacy oracle collectChainIds is held to.
The atlas and notes MCP tool suites, day removal, the doc sync config
service and the plugin runtime conversion suite build their fixtures and
read back what a call left through the ORM factories. Helpers that used
to answer synchronously off the handle (dayRows, range, the reservation
and boundary readers) are async now and every caller awaits them; a
reader that answered undefined for a gone row still does, so the
toBeUndefined/toBeDefined checks keep their meaning.
The one statement left raw rewinds sqlite_sequence, the engine's own
autoincrement table, which no entity maps; it is marked.
Eleven more suites (atlas and settings e2e, the bucket list, shadow pick
and Dawarich suggestion repositories, the budget and collab MCP tools,
notification preferences, VAPID keys, school holidays and tours) write
and read their rows through the ORM factories. Time-relative fixtures
that leaned on SQLite's date('now', ...) build the same text in JS with
dbNow(), and helpers that returned undefined for a missing row keep doing
so where an assertion depends on it. The legacy statements the parity
cases compare against stay raw, marked as oracles.
