test: finish the qol sweep follow-up, one footer on the public journey, patched image deps
The public journey page drew the old "Powered by" block above the shared frame's footer, so the credit showed twice; only the shared footer is left. Its tests read the new frame: the title in the hero, the counts in the hero pills, the loading skeleton and the cover as an image. The shared trip tests look for markers inside the map, since the unplanned card names the same places. The place form clicks the search button by name, now that a picked place adds the nearby button to that row. The journey editors send the photo order as one PUT, so their tests follow that request, and a refused order rolls back as a whole. Payments carry their note, and a saved mobile entry carries its draft flag. nodemailer goes to 10.0.13 and brace-expansion to 2.1.7 for the advisories Docker Scout reports (CVE-2026-102276, CVE-2026-102278, GHSA-v53p-9fqp-m79j). |

feat: quality of life sweep from the feature discussions
Small requests from the discussions, each built end to end: planner and map (cycling mode, date first headings, clear a day, stay times per day, off-route stops, map lock, compact unplanned markers, pending stays, cable car, transit quick picks), places (location filter, category from OSM, open in maps, geo: link, image from an attachment, enrichment on file import, places near a pin, place name language, Amap first in China), lists and costs (packed counter, inherited sharing, Markdown to-dos, payment notes, bookings CSV, my plan PDF), sharing (unplanned places, travel only, without photos), journey (photo zoom, drafts, photo order, trip suggestion, day jump), atlas (region counter, region bucket list, places per country), vacay half company holidays, studio copy and paste plus the book's own layouts, and RESTORE_FROM_BACKUP for a first start restore. |

feat(costs): table view, and the wiki and help center for the new trip page
Costs gets a second view next to the ledger: the expenses as a table grouped by category, with name, date, total, persons and days editable in place and the per person and per day figures worked out beside them. A total with a payer or in a foreign currency stays locked and opens the expense instead, so balances and frozen rates are never changed behind the dialog. In the table view the side column shows a summary by category, day, payer and status. The switch sits in the bar and the choice is remembered; the ledger stays the default. On the Plan tab a place's reservation shows as one Reservation pill whose colour carries the status and which opens the booking, and the drop line of a drag that lost its source row now clears on the next mouse move. The booking detail formats its times in the user's clock, and a hotel without a check-out runs to the end of the last day in the timeline. The wiki pages of the trip are rewritten for the new layout, with new screenshots from the screenshot run (new Plan tab, bookings, transports, dialogs, costs table). The help center guides of the Plan tab are rewritten and translated into every locale, and every new string is translated. |

feat(planner): bring the plan tab and every trip dialog into the new look
The Plan tab was the last trip tab still in the old design. It now reads like Bookings, Costs, Lists, Files and Collab, without losing a function: - Day plan: each day is a card with a head band (day tile with weather, stay and rental pills, a "+" menu for place, stay, transport, transit and note), rows with "..." menus, white badges and a white route bar. - Places column: add, search and filters in three rows, a show dropdown, category and rating filters, and a selection bar at the foot. - Place inspector, day details and the stay editor on the shared dialog frame; the place form in the editor look with the name in the head band. - Clicking a booking or transport anywhere on the plan opens the booking detail popup first; Edit leads to the editor. The popup is one host shared with the Bookings and Transports tabs. - Files and Collab dialogs, notes, polls, links and chat moved to the same frame; shared DialogShell and dialogParts hold the building blocks. - The map hover card shows the place photo and follows the theme. Every new and reworded string is translated into all locales, and a few older English leftovers (help center, cost split, import hints) with them. Phone screens keep their own look. |

feat(budget): link existing expenses to bookings and places, several per booking
Discussion #2084: a cost bought later (the seat upgrade for a flight) could not be tied to the booking it belongs to, and a booking held one expense. - The Costs block of the booking, transport and place forms lists every linked expense with edit, unlink (the expense stays in Costs) and delete, and offers the expenses that belong nowhere yet under Link existing expense. The phone sheets get the same block in their own design, and their Files row lists the attached files and links an existing one. - PUT /budget/:id, update_budget_item (MCP) and costs.update (plugin RPC) take reservation_id / place_id; create and update refuse an id from another trip on all three paths. - The booking's mirrored price is the sum of its expenses when they share one currency (none counts as the trip's), else the first one, with that currency, and follows every change to a linked expense. The booking form's price field leaves a booking with several expenses alone. - Deleting a booking deletes all of its linked expenses and broadcasts each one, also from the MCP delete tools. - Cards show the price with its currency. - Booking and transport dialogs: Booking Type and Travelers as dropdowns at the top, the URL beside Files (transports gain the URL field). The row is one shared component; linking and unlinking files go through the store. Help center pictures and texts for the booking, transport and expense guides are redone in all 27 languages, five Costs labels that were still English in 16 languages are translated, and the wiki follows. |

feat(plugins): search plugins can answer the place search as you type
A searchProvider plugin can now implement an optional suggest() beside search(). Its places then show up in the place search's typed-ahead list, after the core suggestions and marked with the plugin's name, on desktop and phone. An index that cannot take a request per keystroke leaves it out and keeps answering the full search only. The child reports which functions each hook object carries at load, so GET /api/plugin-search/suggest only asks the plugins that implement suggest: from the second character, three rows at most across all of them, 800 ms to answer. The feed marks plugins holding hook:search-provider and the client only asks the route while one is installed. A plugin row carries its whole place, so picking it skips the details lookup, which knows no plugin id. The phone's search results now name their source as the desktop ones do, and the desktop dropdown scrolls instead of running past the dialog. Addresses discussion #2221. |

feat(plugins): plugins can add POI categories to the map and answer them
A new manifest capability poiCategories (up to 4, icon from an allow-list, strict #rrggbb color) and the hook poiCategoryProvider.getPois behind the hook:poi-category-provider permission. GET /api/plugin-pois in the plugin contributions module answers them in the /api/maps/pois shape, with search_plugin_pois as the MCP twin. plugin: ids no longer count as Google place ids. SDK 1.8.0 carries the types, validation and docs. On the map, one hook merges the built-in categories with the ones active plugins declare, and the pill shows the plugin chips after a divider on desktop and phone, scrolling sideways instead of shrinking a chip below its touch target. A plugin chip searches through a repo that refuses offline and parses the answer strictly. Its pins, on Leaflet and GL, use the category's own icon and color, both checked again before they reach any markup, and the hover card lists the plugin's details as escaped text. A plugin POI can be added as a place like any other. The admin panels on desktop and phone show a chip for the new permission and the categories a plugin would add, from one shared module. Addresses discussion #1781. |

fix(planner): closing the place dialog resets the whole search block
The planner keeps the place dialog mounted while it is closed, so its search block survived a closing. Clearing the field on close (#2465) left the result list under the empty field, together with the "Search Google instead" line offering that list's query again, and a pick from that list wrote its name, address and coordinates over whichever place the dialog was opened for next. Closing now drops the list, the suggestions, the Google line's query and the billing session, and cancels a pending autocomplete. A full search or a suggestion lookup that answers after the dialog closed is discarded instead of filling the next opening, and no longer ends the session a new opening may have started. |

fix(client): the audit round over the 4.3.1 release
Ride minutes and late marks follow an edited timetable instead of the routing that fetched them; a landing day's join band reads as the ride it is rather than a nine hour drive of no length; the refuel offer is there on the road out of a terminal or a pick-up desk; the phone's stage map draws the ride; the share page numbers its stops the way the planner does; the PDF lists a day the way the day plan lists it, from both shells; a poster-less clip draws its play badge everywhere, not only in the editor; the hero title has room for its descenders and the list card keeps its badge clear; the release notice keeps its close control in reach when it stacks; a link chip's actions are thumb-sized and its delete asks first; the Google retry line and the Google-only switch appear only where Google answers. |

feat(places): send a search to Google, once or always
Since 4.3.0 the TREK index and OpenStreetMap answer every search first and Google is only asked when they find nothing, so a list with the wrong place on it never reached Google, whatever key the instance had, and the provider choice only decided who fills the empty case. Two ways to change that, both only where Google holds the key slot. Under a result list that did not come from Google, one quiet line sends the same query to Google Places alone (`provider: 'google'` on the search contract, the MCP search tool takes it too). And beside the key, an admin switch "Search with Google only" hands every search and every suggestion to Google and asks nothing of the index or OpenStreetMap; off by default, read by the search after the keyed provider so an install without a key, or one on Amap or OpenStreetMap, is untouched. The panel says so beside the switch. Both shells share the one rule for when the line is offered (placeSource), and the wiki names both switches. |

feat(roadtrip): leave a stop at its End and show the stay that makes
A visit's End could be edited and was shown in road trip mode, but the schedule never read it: the drive always left a stop after its stay, so a traveller who knew when they had to leave but not how long they would stand there had no way to say so. The End is now the time the drive leaves. RoadtripStop.leaveAt is filled from the visit's End (or its place's) on the client by useRoadtripRoutes and on the server by roadtrip-plan.service, so calculate_roadtrip and get_roadtrip_context agree with the planner, and computeSchedule takes it as the departure it already knew how to hold. With Start and End both set the stay is the time between them. With daily travel times on, the stay is the time until then, and an End before the window start starts the day early the way a Start does. Before the first fixed time the chain works backwards through an End as it does through a pinned Start. An End is read against the drive: the last passing of that clock time counts as missed when the drive went past it on the road or earlier the same day, anything else is the next one, so a drive across midnight neither waits a whole day nor pretends to be on time. A drive that gets there after the End leaves on arrival and files a missedLeave finding, shown beside the late badge in the rail and on the phone. The rail's STAY badge, the inspector's Stay tile, the phone stop sheet and the phone chain show the stay the End makes, with an "until 14:00" hint. It is read off the schedule and never written to duration_minutes: the stay belongs to the place, the End to one visit, and a stored copy would go stale as soon as the arrival moved. For such a stop the stay dialog, desktop and phone, shows that stay read only and offers to remove the End, through the visit's time route with an offline path (assignmentRepo.setTimes, setAssignmentTimes). While the road trip is on, the End field in both place forms says the drive leaves at that time. The dead checkoutAt in the plan service is gone. New strings in all 23 locales. |

fix(roadtrip): a stop added by hand opens on the kind being looked for
The button carried nothing and the form hard-wired the kind, so the categories sitting directly above it had no way through and every manual stop started life as a fuel stop with ten minutes on it. The click now carries what the corridor is looking for, dwell included. The picker is multi-select, so the first kind the panel lists wins rather than a fallback nobody switched on; with nothing selected the form falls back on its own, because a stop without a kind is a numbered destination that counts in every total. This also closes the case it was noticed on: an electric car seeds the panel to charging, so the picker said Charging over a form that said Fuel. |

feat(roadtrip): add a stop by hand in the form the rest of TREK adds places in
The dialog built for this last round was its own thing and showed it: the suggestion list was barely legible, clipped at the bottom, and never more than two rows tall. It also lacked most of what the ordinary add-place form has had for years. So it is gone, and "Add manually" opens that form instead, in a service-stop mode. The category control becomes the kind of stop and the time spent there, the costs section is dropped, and an "Add between" row says where on the drive it goes. Everything else comes along rather than being rebuilt: the typed-ahead search with its source marks, the coordinate fields for a charger no index knows, address, website, phone, notes, times, files and the duplicate check. With the mode absent the form is the same component it was, which its own suites still pin. Where the stop lands is worked out when it is saved rather than when the form opens, because the coordinate only exists once a place has been chosen. One function answers both what the select shows and where the stop goes, so the two cannot disagree, and the write goes through the same assignment path as every other insert, via re-anchoring included: a stop pushed into a day shifts every via anchored at or after it, and without re-anchoring first the drawn road runs forward, doubles back and runs out again. The select recommends rather than merely offering. Every leg of every routed day is measured against the place separately and they are listed nearest first, each with its own distance, so the preselected one visibly is the closest and overruling it is an informed choice. The word they all shared moved into the caption. A stop with no position at all is not filed on a drive by guesswork. It keeps its kind and goes to the trip's places, and the form says so and says how to change it. |

feat(maps): show where an Amap hit came from, and keep its id
An Amap row now carries the same source mark the TREK index, OpenStreetMap and Google rows get, named per locale because 高德地图 is the name it goes by where it matters. The "search is on OpenStreetMap" notices and the key hint in the details column are gone with the keys dev had already removed, and the client-side provider mirror with them. amap_poi_id travels with a picked result into the form, the details column and the shadow log, so a saved place keeps the id it was found by. A pasted Amap link goes to the resolver like a Google one. |

fix(places): say where a result came from, and stop asking questions in the form
Six changes to the place picker and the card behind it, all of them about a panel saying less and meaning more. The TREK place index has no switch in the admin panel any more. It decides whether a search leaves the instance at all, which is a property of the deployment rather than a taste: an operator pins TREK_PLACES_ENABLED=false in their compose file, and it cannot be turned off from a browser by whoever holds an admin account that day. The switch never shipped, so nothing to migrate. The standing "Using OpenStreetMap" notice above the search box is gone. It was a sentence about configuration in the middle of a form about a place, and it answered a question nobody asked while leaving the real one open. Each result now carries a small mark instead: TREK, OpenStreetMap or Google. It sits on the row rather than above the list, because a list can be two indexes interleaved and a heading could only name one of them. The saved-places filters open across the full width of the row. Two of them sit side by side, only one can be open at a time, and list names were being cut at about ten characters for no reason. Three empty states use the mascot the rest of TREK uses. The place details panel no longer tells the reader to go and ask an administrator for a Google key, the saved-places list and the road trip rail no longer explain themselves in two lines of grey text. That needed one new mood, `sad`: `sleepy` reads as falling asleep, which is a different thing from finding nothing. The Kind of stop field is out of the place form. It is a road trip concept, and the road trip view already sets it from the stop's own number, where the choice is next to what it changes. |

test: give every test case an assertion of its own
SonarQube's S2699 flagged 196 test cases as assertion-less. Almost all of them end on a bare `await screen.findByText(...)`, which does throw when the text never shows up — the test is real, the analyser just cannot see it. Spelling the check out keeps the behaviour identical and makes it readable. Writing them out turned three tests red, each for a good reason: - FE-COMP-NOTES-008 read the heading out of the loading panel, which renders its own copy and swaps the whole node out once the fetch settles. It now waits for the loaded state. - FE-COMP-PHOTOPROVIDERS-014 matched /connected/i, which also matches the "Not connected" the badge starts as — the test passed whether or not the button did anything. Exact text now. - FE-FILES-002 compared an empty list against the empty list it already was. It seeds a file first, so the 500 has something to leave alone. JOURNEY-SVC-066 asserted nothing at all behind a "should not throw" comment; it now says that out loud and checks no journey entry is left orphaned. |

feat(places): link an expense to a place, the way bookings already do (#1917)
* feat(places): link an expense to a place, the way bookings already do Recording what a museum ticket or a guided tour cost meant leaving the place, opening the Costs tab and typing it in again — while a booking has had a Costs block in its own form all along. The place form now carries that block. Same component, same flow: with nothing linked it offers Create expense, which saves the place and then opens the Costs editor for a new expense pointing at it; once linked it shows the expense with edit and remove. budget_items gains place_id beside the reservation_id it already had, with the same nullable FK and the same ON DELETE SET NULL. Desktop and phone both, and the mobile editor carries the link through its own save path rather than the desktop one. The expense belongs to the place, not to a day assignment, so a place sitting on five days is not five tickets. Hanging it off the assignment would have meant adding a place to three days quietly creating three expenses and removing a day quietly deleting one. Deleting a place takes its expense with it in the same transaction and announces it, on every path that deletes a place: REST, both MCP tools and the plugin RPC. Closes #1298 * test(places): teach the RPC stubs about linkedExpenseIds The delete paths read the linked expense before the place is gone, so the two hand-built PlacesService stubs threw on the new method instead of reaching the hook, the remove and the broadcast — four failures out of one missing line. |

Get the pictures right and stop reusing stale answers
Three things you could see on dev1. Pictures were "roughly right" rather than right, because a coordinate search only knows what was photographed within 300 m. Wikidata's P18 is one picture somebody chose to represent that exact object - "Zurletzteninstanz.jpg" for the restaurant, not a statue down the road - so it now leads, then the Commons category, and geosearch is the last resort it should always have been. Small venues carry a wikidata tag far more often than a Commons category, so this is also what reaches the places the other sources miss. Descriptions stayed on Wikipedia after the switch to Wikivoyage because the week-long result cache predates it. It carries a format version now; a release that changes the shape or the sources invalidates its own entries instead of serving last week's for another six days. Ratings and opening hours were being fetched from Google and then dropped on the floor - the fact list only looked at OpenStreetMap tags. Both are shown now, whichever provider supplied them. Also: the column follows a place opened from the map, not only one picked from search. A POI tap arrives as prefillCoords and never touched the selection, so the column kept showing the previously added place. Pictures are a tight three-column grid and only the picture in play is credited in full, on one line. Crediting all of them at two lines each drowned the column, and the licence attaches to the one that gets used - whose credit also stays visible in the inspector after saving. The request carries the place record the dialog already fetched, so the server skips a details lookup it was making in parallel with the client's own. That lookup was measured at 12.8 s for a large OSM relation. |

Make the detail column useful for places no encyclopaedia describes
A restaurant got nothing: no wiki article, and a coordinate search around it returns whatever was photographed nearby rather than the place itself. Three changes, all on free sources: OpenStreetMap facts. A tagged restaurant carries its cuisine, its opening hours, a link to its menu, outdoor seating, step-free access and diet tags. Those arrive with the details lookup the dialog already makes, so showing them as chips costs nothing and is the single biggest gain for exactly the places that were empty before. Only positive facts are listed - "no outdoor seating" is noise. Commons categories. Where a place has a wikimedia_commons tag, its category is pictures OF it; geosearch falls back in when the category is empty. Wikivoyage before Wikipedia. Same API, same licence, but it describes a place for someone about to visit rather than opening with area in square kilometres. Two sentences instead of three, because this sits beside a form. The column also follows the section-heading idiom Vacay and the dashboard share (uppercase overline, wide tracking), its header matches the Saved places panel beside it, and a lead picture with a row underneath replaces the two-column grid that left a hole on every odd count. Credits wrap over two lines instead of truncating - a cut-off name credits nobody. Saved places stops after ten with a Show more button; search and filters still run over everything, not just the visible page. Form spacing is one rhythm (12px between groups, 8px inside, 4px label to field) and Notes matches Description in height. The OSM notice fits on one line and no longer claims there are no photos, which stopped being true when the column started fetching them from Wikimedia. The clipboard hint is gone; paste still works. |

v3.1.1 bug fixes (#1228)
* fix(shared-view): render each leg of multi-leg flights correctly The read-only shared view showed the overall trip start/end airports and the first leg's flight number on every leg of a multi-leg flight. The Day Plan already expands legs (each carries __leg), but the renderer ignored it and read flat top-level metadata; the Bookings tab had the same bug. - Day Plan: use __leg for per-leg airline/flight number/route, plus dep-arr time - Bookings tab: list each leg via getFlightLegs() - unique React keys for multi-leg rows Closes #1219 * feat(pdf): add legs to pdf export * fix(demo): skip first-run admin seed in demo mode When DEMO_MODE is on, the demo seeder creates its own admin (admin@trek.app, username "admin") right after the generic seeds run. The first-run admin bootstrap was grabbing username "admin" first, so the demo seeder hit the UNIQUE(username) constraint and aborted before the demo user was ever created - which surfaced as a 500 "Demo user not found" on demo-login. Skip the generic admin bootstrap when demo mode owns the admin account. * fix(docker): ship the encryption-key migration script in the image The production image only copied server/dist, so the documented rotation command `node --import tsx scripts/migrate-encryption.ts` failed inside the container with a module-not-found error - the raw .ts was never present. The script runs via tsx straight from source and only pulls node builtins plus better-sqlite3 (both prod deps), so copying the single file into /app/server/scripts is enough to make the rotation work again. * fix(vacay): keep the mode toolbar above the mobile bottom nav The floating Vacation/Company toolbar was pinned at bottom-3 with z-30, so on mobile it landed in the same band as the fixed bottom nav (z-60) and got hidden behind it - and could scroll out of reach entirely. Pin it above the nav with the shared --bottom-nav-h variable (0px on desktop, so nothing changes there) and reserve matching space below the calendar grid so it never gets swallowed. * fix(dashboard): show the correct reservation date regardless of timezone The upcoming-reservations widget built the date with new Date(reservation_time) .toISOString(), which reinterprets the stored naive local time as UTC and can roll the displayed day forward in non-UTC timezones (e.g. a 23:30 reservation showing the next day). Read the date and time straight from the stored string parts via splitReservationDateTime, and format the time with the shared formatTime helper so it also honours the user's 12h/24h preference. * fix(atlas): cursor-following tooltips and removing countries from search Two related Atlas fixes: - Country tooltips were bound with sticky:false, which anchors them at the feature's bounds centre. For countries with overseas territories (e.g. France) that centre sits far out in the ocean, so the tooltip popped up nowhere near the area being hovered. Make them sticky so they track the cursor. - Selecting an already-visited country from the search bar always opened the "Mark / Bucket" dialog, with no way to remove it. Tiny countries like Vatican City or Singapore are hard to hit on the map, so search was the only way in. Mirror the map-click behaviour: a manually-marked country opens the Remove confirmation, a trip/place-backed one opens its detail. * fix(oidc): keep dots in generated usernames The OIDC username sanitizer stripped dots because they were missing from the allowed character class, so a name claim like "first.last" became "firstlast". Dots are valid usernames (the profile validator already allows ^[a-zA-Z0-9_.-]+$), so add the dot to the sanitizer. * fix(collab): show poll option labels in the UI The poll API formatted each option as { label, voters }, but the React poll component renders opt.text - so every option button came out blank. Emit text alongside label (kept for any other consumer) so options render again. * feat(backup): make the upload size limit configurable The restore upload was capped at a hard-coded 500 MB, so instances whose backup archive (uploads/ included) grew past that got a 413 "File too large" with no way to raise it. Add a BACKUP_UPLOAD_LIMIT_MB env var (default 500, invalid values warn and fall back), documented in .env.example. * feat(costs): create an expense from a booking, fix editing total-only items Replace the inline price + budget-category fields in the Transport and Reservation booking modals with a "Create expense" flow: the modal saves the booking, then opens the full Costs editor prefilled (name + category mapped from the booking type) and linked to the reservation. A booking with a linked expense shows it inline with edit / remove. Also fix the Costs editor so an expense with a recorded total but no payers (transport-derived or pre-rework items) opens with its amount, lets you set the currency, and saves - it previously showed 0 everywhere and could not be saved. Legacy / localized categories now map to the fixed keys, and changing a booking's type keeps its linked expense category in sync (unless it was manually set). - shared: reservation_id on budget create, typeToCostCategory helper, i18n keys - server: createBudgetItem stores reservation_id; keep total_price for payerless items; a booking update no longer wipes its linked expense and syncs the category on type change - client: shared BookingCostsSection, exported ExpenseModal with prefill and an editable total, page-level save-then-open wiring * test(reservations): align syncBudgetOnUpdate unit tests with no-wipe + type-sync The service now leaves a linked expense alone when no budget entry is on the payload (only an explicit total_price 0 deletes it) and syncs the category on a booking type change. Update the unit tests accordingly - the old "price cleared" case passed entry: undefined, which is now a no-op and left a mocked return queued that leaked into the next test. * fix(planner): keep a reservation on its day when edited (#1237) Editing a booking forced its day_id to the globally selected day, which is null when editing from the Book tab - so the booking lost its day and vanished from the Plan. Preserve the reservation own day_id on edit instead. * fix(planner): derive a booking day from its date when none is set (#1237) The client always sends day_id on a reservation update, so the server only derived it from reservation_time when the field was absent. A non-transport booking saved without a selected day (Book tab) therefore got day_id null and vanished from the Plan, even though its date matched a day. Derive the day from reservation_time whenever day_id is null, mirroring create. * fix(planner): let a booking's day follow its date when edited (#1237) Preserving the old day_id on edit left a re-dated booking on its previous start day while end_day_id followed the new date, so it spanned both. Stop sending day_id from the edit modal entirely - the server derives both ends from the booking's date (and keeps the current day when there is no date), so a re-dated booking moves cleanly to the matching day. * fix(atlas): keep the continent breakdown in sync on mark/unmark (#1225) The optimistic mark/unmark updates bumped the country total but never the per-continent counts, so the continent column froze until a full reload. Move the country to continent map into @trek/shared (single source for server and client) and adjust the matching continent count at every optimistic site: the country confirm flow plus the choose / region mark and region unmark handlers. * feat(admin): let admins set a default currency for new users Adds a currency picker to Admin > User Defaults. Stored as the default_currency user-default, so users who have not picked their own currency inherit it in Costs. * fix(atlas): give every sub-national region a distinct code (#1217) geoBoundaries fills shapeISO with the bare country code for some countries (every Spanish region got "ESP", every Chinese "CHN", also Chile/Oman), so marking one region lit up the whole country. build-atlas-geo.mjs now keeps shapeISO only when it is a real "XX-..." subdivision code and otherwise synthesizes a unique per-country id from the region name. Regenerated admin1.geojson.gz: Spain/China/ Chile/Oman now carry distinct region codes (countries with real codes, e.g. Germany, are unchanged). * fix(dashboard): never crash on a malformed reservation date A reservation with an invalid date blanked the whole My Trips page: the old Upcoming widget did new Date(value).toISOString(), which throws "Invalid time value" (fixed in #1222 by reading the string parts). Also guard splitDate so a bad date renders a dash instead of "Invalid Date" or throwing. * fix(airtrail): gate airtrail update behind a user setting, on airtrail update: rebuild payload from fresh data to prevent any data loss * fix(airtrail): add back missing tests * fix(costs): rework the cost panel UX wise and apply prettier on the shared package * chore(prettier) prettier this file * fix(airtrail): don't use cabin class as seat on import When an AirTrail flight has a cabin class but no seat number, the mapper fell back to the class for metadata.seat, so reservations showed e.g. "economy" as the seat. Use only the seat number; leave the seat blank otherwise. The class is still surfaced separately in the import picker. Closes #1246 * fix(airtrail): import scheduled flight times instead of actual AirTrail exposes both scheduled (departureScheduled/arrivalScheduled) and actual (departure/arrival) times. TREK read the actual times, so a delayed or early flight imported the wrong time for planning. Read the scheduled times on import and on poll-sync (both go through mapFlightToReservation); when a flight has no scheduled time, leave the clock blank (date preserved) rather than fabricating 00:00 or falling back to actual. The change-detection hash now tracks the scheduled values, so existing linked reservations re-sync once on the next poll. The opt-in writeback mirrors the read, pushing TREK edits to the scheduled fields so they round-trip. * fix(planner): hydrate per-assignment times when editing a place from the pool Times live per day-assignment, not on the pool place, so reopening a place from the Places panel / inspector showed empty Start/End fields (#1247). The editor now resolves a place's lone assignment when no day is in context and hydrates the fields from it; ambiguous (0 or 2+ days) edits hide the fields instead of showing non-persisting inputs. * fix(mcp): make write tools return client-valid, hydrated entities Audit of all write tools under server/src/mcp/tools (issue #1244 anchor). S1 (broken): - create_budget_item / create_budget_item_with_members now default the split to all trip members when member_ids omitted, so the entry passes the client save-gate instead of being member-less (#1244). - create_transport / update_transport backfill lat/lng/timezone for code-only flight endpoints (NOT NULL columns) and return a clean error for unresolvable endpoints instead of crashing. S2 (under-hydration): set_budget_item_members, create_journey, create_journey_entry, create_packing_bag, bulk_import_packing and update_vacay_plan now return the hydrated shape the matching read/REST route returns; bulk_import widened to accept bag/weight_grams/checked. S3 (parity): check_in_end added to accommodation tools; atlas mark_region_visited echoes the client shape; update_journey_entry/ update_journey_preferences, set_bag_members, set_packing_category_assignees, apply_packing_template return hydrated payloads; set_vacay_color echoes the color. Auth: save_packing_template now requires admin, matching the REST gate. Also refactors server/src/config.ts (JWT-secret handling). Adds getBudgetItem hydrated getter, exports EndpointInput, and MCP regression tests (incl. new tools-transports and tools-journey suites). * fix(mcp): fix ICS/maps/accommodation bugs, add settlement & template tools Bugs: - export_trip_ics: include flights that store times per-endpoint (local_date/local_time) instead of a top-level reservation_time - resolve_maps_url: follow redirects for cid=/share links and fall back to parsing the page body, all SSRF-guarded - link_hotel_accommodation: normalize accommodation_id (TEXT column) to an integer in the reservation read paths so it no longer returns "14.0" Gaps: - packing: save_packing_template returns the new template id; add list_packing_templates (read) and delete_packing_template (admin) - budget: update_budget_item accepts payers/member_ids; clarify create/ update/members descriptions to ask which members share the expense and who paid - budget: add settlement tools — get_settlement_summary, list_settlements, create/update/delete_settlement (budget_edit, mirrors REST + WS events) * chore: bump nodemailer * chore: bump multer --------- Co-authored-by: Maurice <mauriceboe@icloud.com> |

Release 3.1.0 (#1185)
* Phase 0 — NestJS + Zod foundation harness (F1–F8) (#1050) Co-hosted NestJS app behind the existing Express server via a strangler-fig dispatcher, sharing the same better-sqlite3 connection and JWT httpOnly cookie. Additive and dormant: default routing stays on Express, Nest only serves its own /api/_nest diagnostics until a module opts in. F1 @trek/shared Zod contract package; F2 Nest bootstrap co-hosted (fall-through, single Dockerfile/port); F3 shared better-sqlite3 provider; F4 JWT cookie auth guard (+ @CurrentUser, admin guard); F5 Zod validation pipe + error-envelope parity; F6 Nest test + coverage gates; F7 per-prefix strangler toggle (env, default Express); F8 CI build/typecheck/test/coverage. Remaining F4/F6/F8 checklist items (trip-access + permission levels + MFA policy, e2e harness/seed + 80% gate, Nest↔Express parity test, Playwright PR-comment workflow) are tracked on the first consuming module cards (L1/A1/C1). * feat(weather): migrate /api/weather to the NestJS pilot module (L1) (#1053) First strangler migration (L1): /api/weather is served by a NestJS module. - @trek/shared/weather Zod contract; Nest controller byte-identical to the legacy Express route (paths, query params, status codes, { error } bodies, lang default, ApiError/500 passthrough). Service reuses getWeather/getDetailedWeather (+ shared cache; MCP tools unchanged). - Strangler routes /api/weather to Nest by default; the legacy Express route + its migration-time parity test were decommissioned in this PR. - Frontend (FE2): weatherApi typed against the @trek/shared WeatherResult contract. - Harness: reusable Nest-vs-Express parity harness, e2e harness (temp SQLite + seed/cookie helpers, real JwtAuthGuard), src/nest coverage gate raised to >=80%, src/nest test guide. - Verified end-to-end on a prod mirror (dev1): 401/400/200 via Nest with real Open-Meteo data, Express route gone. * fix(packing): multiply item weight by quantity in bag/total weight calcs (#898) Quantity now counts toward bag and total weights. Generalised to an itemWeight() helper used by every weight sum (bag totals + max, unassigned, grand total; sidebar + bag modal) with unit tests. * feat(i18n): add Korean (ko) translation (#977) Korean translation by @ppuassi, topped up to full en.ts key parity. Language registration follows separately. * feat(i18n): add Japanese (ja) translation (#829) Japanese translation by @soma3978, at full en.ts key parity, registered in supportedLanguages + TranslationContext. * Add Turkish (tr) translation + language registry (#1029) Turkish translation by @SkyLostTR, at full en.ts key parity, registered in supportedLanguages + TranslationContext. * i18n: register Korean + add Ukrainian translation (#1055) Korean translation by @ppuassi (#977) — now registered. Ukrainian by @JeffyOLOLO (#902) — lifted onto a clean branch. Both at full en.ts key parity (2258 keys). * chore: fix monorepo build pipeline and migrate shared to built package (#1056) * chore: fix monorepo build pipeline and migrate shared to built package - Root package.json: add workspace scripts (dev, build, test, test:cov, test:e2e) that delegate to actual scripts in shared/server/client workspaces - shared: add tsup build step (CJS + ESM dual output, .d.ts); consumers now import from the built dist instead of raw TS source via path aliases - server: replace tsc-alias with tsconfig-paths (tsc-alias mangled node_modules paths); fix MCP SDK path aliases to point to root node_modules (../node_modules) - server/scripts/dev.mjs: delay node --watch until tsc -w signals first-pass done, eliminating the spurious restart on every dev startup - client/vite.config.js + vitest.config.ts: remove @trek/shared path alias (no longer needed now that shared is a proper package) - Consolidate package-lock.json at the workspace root; drop per-workspace lock files * chore: fix test script to reflect root package.json * chore: add missing lint and prettier script in root package.json * fix(ci): build shared before tests; fix vitest MCP SDK alias paths vitest.config.ts aliases pointed at ./node_modules/ (server-local) but packages are hoisted to the root node_modules/ in the npm workspace — changed to ../node_modules/. CI jobs now install and build shared before running server/client tests so that @trek/shared's dist/ exists when vitest resolves the package. * fix(docker): update Dockerfile and CI for monorepo workspace structure Dockerfile: - Add shared-builder stage that produces @trek/shared dist before client and server stages need it - Each build stage carries root package.json + package-lock.json so npm can resolve @trek/shared as a workspace dependency - Production stage installs via workspace context (npm ci --workspace=server --omit=dev) so node_modules/@trek/shared symlinks to shared/dist correctly - Copy server/tsconfig.json into the image so tsconfig-paths/register can find the MCP SDK path aliases at runtime - CMD cds into /app/server before starting node so tsconfig-paths baseUrl resolves and ../node_modules points to /app/node_modules - Remove mkdir for /app/server (now a real dir); keep symlinks for uploads/data docker.yml version-bump: - Replace manual per-workspace cd+npm-version calls with single: npm version --workspaces --include-workspace-root --no-git-tag-version (mirrors the version:* scripts in root package.json) - git add now references root package-lock.json; adds shared/package.json .dockerignore: add shared/dist package.json: fix version:prerelease preid (alpha → pre) * fix(tests): use in-memory SQLite per worker in test mode vitest pool:forks spawns parallel worker processes that all called initDb() on the same data/travel.db, causing SQLite "database is locked" and "duplicate column name" races. When NODE_ENV=test each fork now gets an isolated :memory: DB so migrations run independently with no file contention. * chore(ci): add ACT guards to skip DockerHub steps in local act runs act sets ACT=true automatically. Guards added: - docker login: if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - build outputs: type=docker (local load) when ACT, push-by-digest when CI - digest export/upload: if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - merge job: if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - release-helm job (docker.yml): if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - version-bump git push (docker.yml): wrapped in [ -z "$ACT" ] shell guard Run locally with: ./bin/act -j build -W .github/workflows/docker.yml \ -P ubuntu-latest=catthehacker/ubuntu:act-latest * fix(ci): move ACT guards to step level; add guards to security.yml env context is invalid in job-level if conditions — moved all ACT guards down to individual steps. Also guards docker login + scout in security.yml so act can run the build-only part of that workflow. * fix(ci): skip git fetch and tag logic in act (no remote access in local containers) * Revert "fix(ci): skip git fetch and tag logic in act (no remote access in local containers)" This reverts commit |
