fix(journey): read GPS and the EXIF time offset from uploaded photos (#2512)
The capture backfill for local Journey uploads asked exifr for
'latitude' and 'longitude'. Those are not tags: exifr derives them from
the GPS tags, and a pick of only the derived names reads no GPS block at
all, so every uploaded photo lost its location and never showed on the
journey map. DateTimeOriginal was revived by exifr as a Date in the
server's time zone and OffsetTimeOriginal was never read, so a photo
taken at 15:52 in France was stored as 20:52 UTC on a server running in
Chicago. Impossible stamps were rolled over into real dates as well
(0000:00:00 became 1899, 30 February became 2 March).
The reader now picks the raw GPS tags and reads the stamps unrevived.
exifCaptureInstant validates the stamp and applies the first well formed
offset, preferring the tag that belongs to the stamp (OffsetTimeOriginal
for DateTimeOriginal, OffsetTimeDigitized for CreateDate). A zone written
onto the stamp itself (' UTC', 'GMT', 'Z', '+02:00') wins over the tags.
Without a usable offset it keeps the old reading in the server zone. A
stamp that is not a real date is dropped, CreateDate stands in when
DateTimeOriginal is unusable, and coordinates are kept only as a valid
pair. A GPS block of zeros, which a receiver without a fix writes, counts
as no location instead of a pin at 0,0.
Photos uploaded before this fix keep their stored time and location for
now; correcting them is left for a later release.
StorageService.withLocalFile now also removes its temp file when the
download itself fails, not only when the consumer throws.
The stamp is text any upload sets, so exifCaptureInstant turns down one
longer than 64 characters before any pattern runs, and the pattern has
no greedy tail in front of an end anchor, which cost quadratic time on a
long run of digits.
The REST uploads (entry, gallery) and the plugin journal.addEntryPhoto call
share this one reader, so both are fixed. The MCP journey tools only
attach provider photos, which never reach it.

fix(db): stop losing secrets and notes to the boot and migration paths
An unreadable or empty encryption-key file was treated the same as a missing one: regenerate and overwrite. That is the one case where regenerating is the worst possible move - every secret already at rest becomes undecryptable, permanently. Both now refuse to start and say which file to fix. The key-rotation script advertised re-encrypting all stored secrets while its hardcoded column lists had drifted: the AirTrail key, the per-user LLM key and the plugin OAuth tokens were never migrated, so they silently stopped decrypting after a rotation. The parity test now pins the full set against what the code actually encrypts, rather than two tables of it. The schema_version bump ran outside the migration's transaction, so a crash in between left the schema advanced and the version stale - the next boot replayed a non-idempotent step and exited, turning one crash into a boot loop. And the TICKETJSON receipt migration matched with LIKE, which SQLite treats case-insensitively, so a note somebody had typed starting 'ticketjson:' was cut up and its text dropped. Also: APP_VERSION was interpolated into migration SQL instead of bound, the capture-metadata backfill passed (photoId, userId) to a (userId, photoId) signature and its mock keyed on the wrong argument, TRUST_PROXY=0 was accepted and silently coerced to 1, demo-reset hardcoded the db path instead of honouring TREK_DB_FILE, and a demo instance with no DEMO_ADMIN_PASS set now says out loud that its admin password is the published default. |

test(photos): cover the local EXIF path so the memories ratchet holds
The capture backfill landed in src/nest/memories/ with its local branch untested, which took the domain under its coverage floor (functions 96.71 vs 97, branches 79.67 vs 81). Raising the tests rather than lowering the gate: the path guard against climbing out of the uploads tree, a missing path, an unreadable file, the CreateDate fallback, empty EXIF, a throwing row lookup, and schedule(). Plus the Immich album mapping with and without coordinates. One note left in the test file for the next person: a mock that *rejects* makes vitest fail the run even when the code catches it, because the mock's recorded result is a second reference to that promise with nothing attached. A bare mockReset() is enough to trip it, so the beforeEach sets a benign default. |

feat(photos): ask the provider where and when, and stop the album path dropping it
Second half of the capture-metadata foundation (#1614). The album paths were the asymmetry: Immich's search has always carried exifInfo.latitude/longitude, but the album mapping quietly left them out, and the Synology album listing never asked for the gps block at all. So a photo picked out of an album could never be placed on a map, and the distance sort that PR #1632 added silently had nothing to sort by. Both now carry the pair. For the add itself the client only sends an asset id. Widening that contract would have meant trusting the client for something the provider can be asked for directly, and would have left the MCP path and every already-imported photo without it — so PhotoCaptureBackfillService asks afterwards instead, detached, skipping rows that already know both so an album import is not one provider call per photo. A slow or unreachable provider cannot hold up the add, and a photo without capture metadata stays the normal case. |
