chore(ci): give the server test typecheck room, format new client files
The server's src and tests together are past 570,000 lines and the test typecheck needs about 4.3 GB, over Node's default heap; it now gets 8 GB like the test jobs. Forty new client files are formatted, and the react-hooks/refs baseline drops by the one warning a split hook removed. |

feat(tours): let a background check hint at changes of your own wanderer trails
Settings, Integrations, wanderer gains an optional background check of the trails you imported, off until you switch it on. While on, TREK reads the short record of each such trail at most once a day (never its GPX file) and leaves a hint when the trail may have moved on: "may have changed" when only wanderer's change time moved, "changed" when its name or description proves it, and "not checkable" when the trail is gone, no longer yours or carries no change time. Nothing is ever said to be unchanged. A new hint arrives as a notification that opens the tour (a new ?place= link in the planner); the tour's provenance shows it with the source check right beside it, and the card lists all open hints in a dialog, each leading to its tour. The check reads the source in full as before and spends the hint; taking a change in stays the confirmed reimport. No tour is ever changed or deleted. The check only asks through your own connection, only about trails your account imported into trips you can still open, and stops when you switch it off, remove the connection, wanderer refuses the token (until a test passes or a new token is saved) or the admin switches wanderer off; hints and snapshots stay. A run asks at most 25 connections for at most 10 records each, one after another, and an instance that fails (an outage, a rate limit) is left alone for an hour, doubling up to two days. Server: migration 046120 adds the switch and the run bookkeeping to wanderer_connections and the tour_source_hints table (one row per snapshot, for its importer, gone with it). WandererWatchService and an hourly wanderer-watch job on the CronRegistrar live in the tours domain and read through WandererService; GET and PUT /api/integrations/wanderer/watch and GET /api/trips/:tripId/tours/wanderer/sources/:placeId/hint (place_edit, like the check) answer with @trek/shared contracts. A new user notification event, wanderer_source_hint, can be muted per channel. Saving a new token now clears what the last check said about the old one. There is no MCP tool, as for the rest of the personal wanderer connection. All 27 locales carry the strings, and the admin wiki page says what the check does. |

feat(tours): point a tour at its trip's packing list
A tour can now point at the packing list of its trip, as a whole or at one of its categories (say "Hiking gear" for a hike), and shows it in its detail. The new Packing list section reads the list live as the user may see it: the backpack tile with the item count on its corner and the category's own colour, how many are packed with a thin progress bar, the first items ticked off or not with their quantity, how many more there are, and a button that opens the trip's Lists tab. Who may change the tour links one, changes it or lets go through a dialog that lists the whole list and every category with its colour and item count, and writes only on its confirm. It is a reference, never a copy: the items stay in Packing, are ticked off and edited there, and each traveller sees in the tour only the items Packing shows them, so an item kept to oneself never shows through a tour. A category that is renamed, cleared or only holds items of others reads as missing, an empty one as empty, a link that could not be read says so with a retry, and while Lists are switched off the link stays, dimmed, and can still be let go. Removing the link, or the tour, leaves the list and every item as they are. Nothing suggests or changes an item by itself. On the server the link is a row of its own in the tours domain (tour_packing_links, migration 046110), one per tour and gone with it. GET, PUT and DELETE /api/trips/:tripId/tours/:placeId/packing-link read it with the trip and change it with place_edit; linking needs the Lists addon and, for a category, an item of it the user can see. The writes answer the tour with its link and tell the trip through tours:changed, so the offline client queues them as writes of the tour and replays them like one. A copied trip keeps its tours' links, a tour saved as new or taken over does not. The MCP tools get_tour_packing, link_tour_packing and unlink_tour_packing run over the same service and checks; the read also hands the tour's facts as context for suggesting what to pack, which only becomes an item through the packing tools. The empty category placeholder now lives in @trek/shared so both sides leave it out alike. All 27 locales carry the new strings, and the wiki describes the link and the tools. |

fix(tours): check a city walk's stops off and save a stop from its dialog, with the walk under test (CW-01 to CW-05, CW-09)
Marking a stop of a city walk visited or skipped answered with a server error every time: the write that keeps a changed status stamped its time as a function call, which neither SQLite nor Postgres takes. It now uses the clock the database itself spells, so a stop checked off, skipped or taken back stays that way and the day plan of everyone on the trip follows. The Save button of a stop's dialog in the planner did nothing, because it sat outside the dialog's form. It saves the name, stay, importance and protection again. A walk saved with two points that carry one key, as a loop back to the start does, keeps that key on the first point and gives the other one of its own, so checking one off never marks both. A walk put on one day twice is read for an assistant from its first assignment. The server tests cover the visits from the repository to the routes: per day, through a moved and a removed assignment, a copy of the walk and a copied trip without visits, a removed stop taking its visits along, and the refusals for another trip, a stop the walk does not have, a member who may not edit days and an unknown key or body. The MCP progress of a walk, the station fields and counts of the tour list, and the contracts in shared are tested too; the existing tests expect the keys every saved point now carries, the station count of a list row and the new entity. The client tests cover the stop dialog and its pills, the walk themes and categories of the search along a tour, the stop menu of the waypoint list, the walk's timing, routing and type choice, and answer the trip planner's read of the visits in the tests instead of leaving it unanswered. |

feat(tours): OpenHikingMap as a hiking base map of the tour planner (MAP-01)
While a hike is planned, the planner's map switch offers "Hiking" beside the map, topo and satellite: OpenHikingMap, with marked trails over the terrain. It is a choice of the planner's view alone, like topo: the global map setting, the tour and its days stay as they are. With no tour open, over an import viewed as it came in and for a paddle tour it is not offered, and a choice made earlier falls back to the standard map there. openmaps.fr's tile usage policy is followed: tiles load only as the map shows them, with the browser's Referer, from the server's own caching; no service worker rule keeps them and the 3D flyover's warm-up passes their source by. Its credit and donation link are on the map; the 3D map, whose attribution is folded away under the panel, shows them as a line of its own above its controls. The service is best effort. A run of failed tiles while it is shown marks the switch, with a tooltip and a status for screen readers that say it is not answering and that the tour is untouched; one tile arriving clears it. The tile health the seamark overlay had is now useTileHealth, shared by both. The source is free for non-commercial installs up to 500,000 tiles a month. tours_hiking_map_enabled is an admin switch under Tours (admin tours-hiking-map, audited), on by default, for an install that is commercial or larger to switch off until it has an agreement with the operator. /api/addons carries it as toursHikingMap, true only while Tours is on. Leaflet, GL and the 3D map read one table of the planner's raster bases (tourRasterBases), so topo and the hiking map are drawn the same way. tile.openmaps.fr is on the CSP's connect-src for the GL maps. |

Tours: bring the pinned counts and test doubles up to the new tables and switch
- tours locale key count, entity count and NOT NULL field count follow the wanderer tables and strings - the shared MSW admin handlers answer /api/admin/tours-wanderer - the mobile tour detail test checks the dialog, not the dropped heading - the refused-origin e2e sends one request per case instead of four at once |

ci(client): hold strict null check errors per file to a baseline that only shrinks
The client compiles with strict: false, so nullable contract fields arrive as if always present and implicit anys stay invisible. tsconfig.strict.json is the same program with strictNullChecks and noImplicitAny, and lint:strict (scripts/strict-lint.mjs) counts its errors per file against scripts/strict-baseline.json: a file may not gain one, a new file has to be clean, and an entry above its count fails until --update lowers it. Nothing is converted here; today's 534 errors in 165 files are frozen. allowJs stays: the tests import the .mjs scripts and read their JSDoc types through it. The todo MSW handler maps a cleared priority to its default so the test helper written in this branch starts at zero. The check runs after the typecheck in client-quality. |

test(client): hold the default MSW handlers to the @trek/shared contracts
contractHandler() parses the request body against the shared request schema, answering 400 like the server's Zod pipe on a body it would refuse, and the mock's answer against the response schema, failing on a factory that drifted. The trips, budget, places, todo, tags and categories, day notes, packing, reservations and assignments handlers and the vacay plan and colour updates use it wherever shared has a schema; the offline bundle and the other vacay routes have none yet and stay plain. The typed bodies showed where the old handlers echoed request shapes back as stored rows: payers and members are no longer echoed into a budget item, and checked and is_private come back as 0/1 the way the server stores them. |

test(client): keep the sign-in background work out of the auth specs
login, completeMfaLogin and register start tripSyncManager.syncAll() and the system notice fetch without waiting for them, and every sign-in, loadUser included, registers the sync triggers with their 30 s heartbeat. #2613 stubbed the sync in the push spec after it was caught logging while the worker shut down ("Closing rpc while onUserConsoleLog was pending"); the same shape was left in the other specs that sign in for real. authStore.test.ts ran the real sync on every successful sign-in and logged DatabaseClosedError from it, and its notice fetch went past MSW to the network and logged a failed fetch, both after the tests that started them. The sync is now stubbed there, and the login, MFA and register tests assert that it was started. The notice store is reset before each test, since FE-STORE-AUTH-024 left a stubbed fetch behind. LoginPage.test.tsx signs in through the form, and AccountTab.test.tsx and MSettingsAccount.test.tsx reload the user after an MFA change; they now stub the sync triggers (and the login spec the trip sync), which none of them is about. GET /api/system-notices/active gets a default MSW handler returning no notices, so a login or a mounted notice host anywhere in the suite settles that fetch in the test instead of on the network. The notice store's own tests still override it. |

feat(llm-parse): read a photo, as a booking or as a receipt in Costs
Whether the AI Parsing model reads images is an admin setting now, and it lands with the two features that send a photo, so it has something to control. The setting is `vision: 'auto' | 'on' | 'off'` on the addon config. On Automatic a local Ollama is asked what the model can do (`/api/show`), and a cloud provider means no; Yes and No are applied as set. The old `multimodal` flag is not read: the admin screens wrote it false on every save, so a stored false meant nothing. The per-user toggle keeps its on/off meaning and is read by the extraction now. The lookup is server-side only: capped read, validated body, never throws, cached per server and model. GET /api/llm/capabilities answers it for the signed-in caller, and both photo pickers below ask it. The booking import takes JPG, PNG and WEBP when the model reads images. The photo goes as an image to every provider (image_url, an Anthropic image block, Ollama's native chat with `images`), capped at 1600px, and skips KDE Itinerary. A scanned PDF, which used to reach the model as empty text, has its first two pages drawn by pdf-parse and sent the same way. The rest is the import as it was: background job, review, the file attached to the booking, the linked cost. On a real qwen3.5:4b a train ticket came back as bare clock times until the router gave the model every type's field meanings, and its price as an object inside a string, which read as 4900; both are handled. Costs gets Scan receipt: a dialog laid out like the booking import's takes one photo, read on the import job queue, then reviewed in the existing expense editor pre-filled with merchant, total, currency, day and lines, the photo waiting in Receipts & Invoices to be uploaded on save. No table, no migration, no category guess, no document-type detection. |

fix(share): only call a share link expired when the server says so (#2505)
The public share page turned every failed GET /api/shared/:token into
"Link expired or invalid". A 5xx during a restart, a proxy 502, a rate
limit, a timeout or a viewer who is briefly offline all told the viewer
the link was dead and sent them back to the owner for a new one, while
the same link loaded fine on the next try.
The endpoint answers 404 with its JSON { error } body for an unknown,
expired or revoked token, so that is now the only answer that shows the
expired screen. A 404 without that body comes from a proxy in front of
TREK (Traefik answers "404 page not found" while the container is
stopped or still starting) and counts as a failed load, as does a 200
that is not the share payload, such as an auth wall's login page, which
used to crash the page. Any failed load shows "This trip could not be
loaded" with a retry button that refetches in place and stays busy
while it runs. The load also ignores a response that lands after the
page moved on to another token.
Both screens use the theme tokens instead of hex literals. New keys are
translated in all 27 locales.

feat(plugins): search plugins can answer the place search as you type
A searchProvider plugin can now implement an optional suggest() beside search(). Its places then show up in the place search's typed-ahead list, after the core suggestions and marked with the plugin's name, on desktop and phone. An index that cannot take a request per keystroke leaves it out and keeps answering the full search only. The child reports which functions each hook object carries at load, so GET /api/plugin-search/suggest only asks the plugins that implement suggest: from the second character, three rows at most across all of them, 800 ms to answer. The feed marks plugins holding hook:search-provider and the client only asks the route while one is installed. A plugin row carries its whole place, so picking it skips the details lookup, which knows no plugin id. The phone's search results now name their source as the desktop ones do, and the desktop dropdown scrolls instead of running past the dialog. Addresses discussion #2221. |

feat(plugins): let a plugin answer place searches from its own index
TREK searches its own place index and OpenStreetMap. Neither carries a rating, so "the best rated hotel around here" has never been answerable, and an operator with a better index for their region had no way to reach the search box at all. The searchProvider hook is that way in: a plugin is handed the query, a limit, the language and the coordinate the search is biased toward, and answers with places in the same shape the core search returns, plus a rating. It sits beside the core search rather than inside it. The plugin runtime already imports PlacesModule, which imports MapsModule, so asking the providers from the maps service would close a module cycle — the same reason the other fourteen contribution controllers stand next to what they contribute to. The client asks both at once and merges, at the single point every caller already goes through, so all nine search surfaces get plugin hits without knowing the hook exists. A plugin index may never hold up the list: the client stops waiting at two and a half seconds and the host gives a provider two, which is also why the budget is the shortest of any hook here. With no such plugin installed the route answers without reaching the runtime at all. Every hit is normalized host-side and shared by the REST route and the MCP tool, so a cap that holds for the browser holds for the assistant: coordinates are range-checked, strings capped, the rating clamped to 0..5, a website must be http or https, and ids are namespaced so they can never collide with an OSM one. search_places_via_plugins is the MCP half, because what the user can see the assistant has to be able to see; search_place now points at it. |

feat(roadtrip): avoid tolls, motorways and ferries, through a second engine
The switch a road tripper keeps asking for has never worked. OSRM's `exclude` is the only
avoidance TREK has, and the two public hosts it ships with answer it HTTP 400 on every
leg: their car profile is built without excludable classes, and their own Lua says why
("no memory for classes on demo server"). So "drive this without the tolls" produced
nothing at all on a default install, and the fallback inside the alternatives bar quietly
gave up after one refusal per host.
FOSSGIS runs a public Valhalla on the whole planet next to that OSRM, keyless, and there
avoidance is a runtime weighting rather than a profile that has to be rebuilt. This adds
it as a second engine asked only the questions the first cannot answer, and puts three
switches under the road trip settings that change the road itself rather than offering an
alternative beside it. Paris to Lyon measured 465.8 km / 297 min with tolls against
492.0 km / 454 min without; Hamburg to Copenhagen comes back ferry-free at 469.8 km,
which OSRM cannot produce at all — where a ferry IS the crossing it answers NoRoute
rather than driving round.
Four things the docs would have got wrong, all measured against the live instance:
- `format=osrm` does not carry `has_toll`. That flag is the entire reason for doing this,
and it exists only in the native answer — which is also 5.7x smaller, because the OSRM
shape drags every intersection along. So the adapter translates instead of borrowing a
familiar envelope.
- Without a `radius` Valhalla refuses a point it cannot bind to a road, where OSRM still
snaps one. Vienna's Stephansdom, in a pedestrian zone, answers error 442 until a search
radius is allowed. TREK is full of such places, so every location carries one.
- Ten locations is a hard cap and a road trip day is bundled into one request. A day over
it is split into runs overlapping by one point, which is exact rather than approximate:
a measured six-stop day came back within two metres and under a second of the same day
asked whole.
- Its drive times run 5.4 % above OSRM's over ten European legs and 36 % above on one, and
those times feed the arrival clocks of a day. So a day is answered by one engine or by
neither, never by both, and a piece that will not answer loses the whole day rather than
half of it — the schedule chains leg times blindly and would otherwise print a complete,
plausible, silently wrong timetable.
Because the weighting can fail, the honest surface is the answer rather than the request.
`use_tolls: 0` still returns a tolled road where there is no untolled crossing, so what
the road actually turned out to be is read back per leg, and a day that could not avoid
what it was asked to avoid says so on its own header instead of wearing a label the road
disproves. The switches disable themselves, with a reason, on an instance pointed at its
own OSRM: that operator chose against public hosts, and a second one they never asked for
would undo the choice.
Two things that would have broken quietly and did not:
- The route cache keys on `profile:unit:coords` and is shared with the day planner, the
studio and the booking geometry. Without the avoidance in the key, flipping a switch
returns the old road out of cache in under a millisecond — and worse, an avoiding answer
stored under the plain key hands those other callers a road nobody drives.
- `snapped` is OSRM-only and carries the dashed kerb-to-door spur from #2273. Valhalla
echoes the coordinates it was given and never says where it bound them, but the ends of
a leg's line are exactly those points: measured against Füssen, its first vertex matches
OSRM's snapped location to the digit.
The alternatives bar gets the same engine, which finally makes its "no motorway" and "no
tolls" offers appear on a default install, plus a ferry-free one. `sameRoad` now compares
geometry rather than numbers there, because two engines' distances for the same road sit
kilometres apart and the old 200 m tolerance called that a discovery.
Desktop only, like the whole road trip mode: nothing under client/src/mobile renders it.

Keep the mobile FX widget off the network after unmount
Client CI was red on this branch while dev was green, and no client file had changed. The 536 test files all passed; the job failed on three unhandled rejections, all `window is not defined` from MDashWidgets, attributed to whichever case happened to be running when they landed. The widget fetches api.frankfurter.dev directly and sets state from both handlers with no unmount guard. MSW runs with onUnhandledRequest: 'warn', so that request was never intercepted: it left the runner, came back after the environment was gone, and React tried to schedule an update against a torn down tree. Load dependent by construction, which is why dev happened to pass. Two halves, because either alone leaves the other broken. The widget now aborts in flight work on unmount and on refetch, and treats an abort as "no one is waiting" rather than as a failure to report. That matters outside the runner too: this is a third party call on a mobile screen a user can leave immediately. The handler set gains the third party endpoints the app calls directly rather than through /api, so no suite reaches the real host. An empty rate list is the shape the widget already handles. Also clears twenty more test files, each at its root cause. Two more were passing for the wrong reason: oidc.service.test.ts built AuthService with an AtlasService in the membership slot, undefined for userCleanup and mailer, and the mailer stub in the tokens slot, the same shift admin.service.test.ts had. And CAL-010 claims to serialise a flight byte for byte, but createReservation ignores reservation_time, so the row is written with a null time and CalendarService drops it: the recorded snapshot is truthful about the data the case builds and silent about the flight it advertises. |

feat(vacay): mirror the leave-year window in the client (#737)
The server owns the arithmetic entitlements are computed with, but the grid has to render the same twelve months and the overlays have to filter against the same range, so the window resolves on both sides. yearWindow.ts is that mirror, including the Feb-29 clamp and the anniversary-without-a-hire-date fallback. The store loads the settings before the year list picks a default — with a shifted year the current period is not necessarily the current calendar year. Holidays are fetched per calendar year the window touches and clipped back to what the grid draws; a school break straddling New Year comes back from both fetches, so markers are de-duplicated per day. The label is part of that identity, otherwise two calendars left on the same colour collapse into one. |

feat(vacay): add school holiday overlays (#1633)
* feat: add vacay school holiday overlays * fix(vacay): remove SOH control character corruption in locale files 13 of 22 vacay locale files contained a 0x01 (SOH) control character that corrupted the closing }; token. This broke the shared package build (tsdown/rolldown PARSE_ERROR: Invalid Character) and cascaded to all client tests failing to resolve @trek/shared. Affected locales: ar, br, ca, cs, es, fr, gr, hu, id, it, ja, ko, nl, pl, ru, sv, tr, uk, vi, zh, zh-TW * fix(vacay): school-holiday migration order, i18n dupes, settings layout - Move the school-holiday columns migration to the end of the migrations array. It sat before the #1435/#1281 migrations, which every existing DB had already run, so the runner skipped it and school_holidays_enabled / vacay_holiday_calendars.type were never created — PUT /addons/vacay/plan then 500'd with "no such column". - Remove duplicate i18n keys in 13 locale vacay files (TS1117) that failed the shared + client typechecks. - Move the school-holidays block into the right column, directly under public holidays, instead of full-width below everything. - Add the school-holidays section to the mobile Vacay settings sheet. * feat(vacay): modern school-holiday day styling + combined hover tooltip - Replace the stacked 2px underlines with a single rounded accent band and a soft background wash on plain school-break days (desktop + mobile — mobile did not render school holidays at all before). - Fold school holidays into the custom day tooltip under a divider instead of a separate native title, and show the tooltip on every set day (whole vacation days too), not only half days / shared calendars. --------- Co-authored-by: Otto <uif86164@automotive-wan.com> Co-authored-by: Maurice <mauriceboe@icloud.com> |

Release 3.1.0 (#1185)
* Phase 0 — NestJS + Zod foundation harness (F1–F8) (#1050) Co-hosted NestJS app behind the existing Express server via a strangler-fig dispatcher, sharing the same better-sqlite3 connection and JWT httpOnly cookie. Additive and dormant: default routing stays on Express, Nest only serves its own /api/_nest diagnostics until a module opts in. F1 @trek/shared Zod contract package; F2 Nest bootstrap co-hosted (fall-through, single Dockerfile/port); F3 shared better-sqlite3 provider; F4 JWT cookie auth guard (+ @CurrentUser, admin guard); F5 Zod validation pipe + error-envelope parity; F6 Nest test + coverage gates; F7 per-prefix strangler toggle (env, default Express); F8 CI build/typecheck/test/coverage. Remaining F4/F6/F8 checklist items (trip-access + permission levels + MFA policy, e2e harness/seed + 80% gate, Nest↔Express parity test, Playwright PR-comment workflow) are tracked on the first consuming module cards (L1/A1/C1). * feat(weather): migrate /api/weather to the NestJS pilot module (L1) (#1053) First strangler migration (L1): /api/weather is served by a NestJS module. - @trek/shared/weather Zod contract; Nest controller byte-identical to the legacy Express route (paths, query params, status codes, { error } bodies, lang default, ApiError/500 passthrough). Service reuses getWeather/getDetailedWeather (+ shared cache; MCP tools unchanged). - Strangler routes /api/weather to Nest by default; the legacy Express route + its migration-time parity test were decommissioned in this PR. - Frontend (FE2): weatherApi typed against the @trek/shared WeatherResult contract. - Harness: reusable Nest-vs-Express parity harness, e2e harness (temp SQLite + seed/cookie helpers, real JwtAuthGuard), src/nest coverage gate raised to >=80%, src/nest test guide. - Verified end-to-end on a prod mirror (dev1): 401/400/200 via Nest with real Open-Meteo data, Express route gone. * fix(packing): multiply item weight by quantity in bag/total weight calcs (#898) Quantity now counts toward bag and total weights. Generalised to an itemWeight() helper used by every weight sum (bag totals + max, unassigned, grand total; sidebar + bag modal) with unit tests. * feat(i18n): add Korean (ko) translation (#977) Korean translation by @ppuassi, topped up to full en.ts key parity. Language registration follows separately. * feat(i18n): add Japanese (ja) translation (#829) Japanese translation by @soma3978, at full en.ts key parity, registered in supportedLanguages + TranslationContext. * Add Turkish (tr) translation + language registry (#1029) Turkish translation by @SkyLostTR, at full en.ts key parity, registered in supportedLanguages + TranslationContext. * i18n: register Korean + add Ukrainian translation (#1055) Korean translation by @ppuassi (#977) — now registered. Ukrainian by @JeffyOLOLO (#902) — lifted onto a clean branch. Both at full en.ts key parity (2258 keys). * chore: fix monorepo build pipeline and migrate shared to built package (#1056) * chore: fix monorepo build pipeline and migrate shared to built package - Root package.json: add workspace scripts (dev, build, test, test:cov, test:e2e) that delegate to actual scripts in shared/server/client workspaces - shared: add tsup build step (CJS + ESM dual output, .d.ts); consumers now import from the built dist instead of raw TS source via path aliases - server: replace tsc-alias with tsconfig-paths (tsc-alias mangled node_modules paths); fix MCP SDK path aliases to point to root node_modules (../node_modules) - server/scripts/dev.mjs: delay node --watch until tsc -w signals first-pass done, eliminating the spurious restart on every dev startup - client/vite.config.js + vitest.config.ts: remove @trek/shared path alias (no longer needed now that shared is a proper package) - Consolidate package-lock.json at the workspace root; drop per-workspace lock files * chore: fix test script to reflect root package.json * chore: add missing lint and prettier script in root package.json * fix(ci): build shared before tests; fix vitest MCP SDK alias paths vitest.config.ts aliases pointed at ./node_modules/ (server-local) but packages are hoisted to the root node_modules/ in the npm workspace — changed to ../node_modules/. CI jobs now install and build shared before running server/client tests so that @trek/shared's dist/ exists when vitest resolves the package. * fix(docker): update Dockerfile and CI for monorepo workspace structure Dockerfile: - Add shared-builder stage that produces @trek/shared dist before client and server stages need it - Each build stage carries root package.json + package-lock.json so npm can resolve @trek/shared as a workspace dependency - Production stage installs via workspace context (npm ci --workspace=server --omit=dev) so node_modules/@trek/shared symlinks to shared/dist correctly - Copy server/tsconfig.json into the image so tsconfig-paths/register can find the MCP SDK path aliases at runtime - CMD cds into /app/server before starting node so tsconfig-paths baseUrl resolves and ../node_modules points to /app/node_modules - Remove mkdir for /app/server (now a real dir); keep symlinks for uploads/data docker.yml version-bump: - Replace manual per-workspace cd+npm-version calls with single: npm version --workspaces --include-workspace-root --no-git-tag-version (mirrors the version:* scripts in root package.json) - git add now references root package-lock.json; adds shared/package.json .dockerignore: add shared/dist package.json: fix version:prerelease preid (alpha → pre) * fix(tests): use in-memory SQLite per worker in test mode vitest pool:forks spawns parallel worker processes that all called initDb() on the same data/travel.db, causing SQLite "database is locked" and "duplicate column name" races. When NODE_ENV=test each fork now gets an isolated :memory: DB so migrations run independently with no file contention. * chore(ci): add ACT guards to skip DockerHub steps in local act runs act sets ACT=true automatically. Guards added: - docker login: if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - build outputs: type=docker (local load) when ACT, push-by-digest when CI - digest export/upload: if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - merge job: if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - release-helm job (docker.yml): if: ${{ !env.ACT }} - version-bump git push (docker.yml): wrapped in [ -z "$ACT" ] shell guard Run locally with: ./bin/act -j build -W .github/workflows/docker.yml \ -P ubuntu-latest=catthehacker/ubuntu:act-latest * fix(ci): move ACT guards to step level; add guards to security.yml env context is invalid in job-level if conditions — moved all ACT guards down to individual steps. Also guards docker login + scout in security.yml so act can run the build-only part of that workflow. * fix(ci): skip git fetch and tag logic in act (no remote access in local containers) * Revert "fix(ci): skip git fetch and tag logic in act (no remote access in local containers)" This reverts commit |

feat(notifications): add ntfy as a first-class notification channel
Adds ntfy.sh (and self-hosted instances) as a new push notification channel with full parity to the existing webhook channel. - Backend: NtfyConfig type, getUserNtfyConfig, getAdminNtfyConfig, resolveNtfyUrl, sendNtfy (header-based API with Title/Priority/Tags/ Click headers), testNtfy, NTFY_EVENT_META (priority + emoji tags per event), SSRF guard via existing checkSsrf + createPinnedDispatcher - notificationPreferencesService: ntfy added to NotifChannel union, IMPLEMENTED_COMBOS, getActiveChannels parser, getAvailableChannels, ADMIN_GLOBAL_CHANNELS, and AvailableChannels interface - notificationService: per-user ntfy dispatch after webhook block; admin-scoped ntfy via getAdminGlobalPref for version_available events - Routes: POST /api/notifications/test-ntfy with saved-token fallback - authService: admin_ntfy_server/topic/token in ADMIN_SETTINGS_KEYS, masked + encrypted on read/write - settingsService: ntfy_token added to ENCRYPTED_SETTING_KEYS - Frontend: ntfy topic/server/token inputs + Save/Test/Clear buttons in NotificationsTab; admin Ntfy panel in AdminPage; testNtfy API method - i18n: full English strings; English placeholders in 14 other locales - Tests: resolveNtfyUrl, sendNtfy, dispatch integration, UI tests, MSW handler for test-ntfy endpoint |

feat(pwa): implement real offline mode with IndexedDB sync
Add genuine offline read/write capability for trips: - Dexie IndexedDB schema (trips, places, packing, todo, budget, reservations, files, mutationQueue, syncMeta, blobCache) - Repo layer for all domains: offline reads from Dexie, writes optimistically to Dexie and enqueue mutations for later replay - Mutation queue with UUID idempotency keys (X-Idempotency-Key), FIFO flush, temp-ID reconciliation on 2xx, fail-and-continue on 4xx - Trip sync manager: caches all trips with end_date >= today or null, auto-evicts 7d after end_date, fetches bundle endpoint in one request - Map tile prefetcher: bbox from place coords, zooms 10-16, 50MB cap, warms SW cache via fetch - Sync triggers: network online → flush + syncAll; WS reconnect → flush only (rate-limiter safe); visibilitychange/30s → flush only - WS remoteEventHandler writes through to Dexie on every event - Server idempotency middleware + idempotency_keys table (migration 100, 24h TTL nightly cleanup) - GET /api/trips/:id/bundle endpoint for efficient single-request sync - OfflineBanner component: amber (offline) / blue (syncing) / hidden - OfflineTab in Settings: cached trip list, re-sync and clear actions - usePendingMutations hook for per-item pending indicators Closes #505 #541 |

test: add comprehensive coverage for OAuth scopes, MCP, and core services
Adds new and expanded test suites across client and server to cover the OAuth 2.1 scope system, MCP session manager, collab service, unified memories helpers, OIDC service, budget slice, and OAuth authorize page. Also extends SonarQube coverage exclusions to include bootstrapping files (migrations, scheduler, main.tsx, types.ts) that are not meaningfully testable. |
